教材分析 本课出自中职英语基础教材第三册《Time to Celebrate》,课文语法词汇难度适中, 同时节日对于学生们始终是一个感兴趣的主题,能够激发学生课堂参与的热情,实现听、说、读等教学实践练习,从而达到相关的语言学习和能力目标。

学情分析
所上的班级学生为05外贸4班45名学生,该班学生在职校同级班级中属于基础较好的学生,具有一定基础的英语听说和读的能力和相关的中外节日知识结构,也能较积极地投入到课堂学习中来,和教师共创活跃的课堂气氛。
执教课题 An English Christmas
本节课特色与创新之处 本堂课的宗旨即理念为创导以学生为课堂主体,教师为辅导的课堂学习模式,所以在整个上课的过程中教师只是通过提出简单的学习任务引导学生活动的线路,同时做出评价和必要的生词解释。所有的学习任务都由学生主讲,主听,主读,更重要的是主讨论。
例如在讲课文提到Christmas dinner(圣诞大餐),老师只提出关键词,然后让学生们围绕关键词展开讨论和描述,用句子来表达自己的圣诞大餐的理解,然后对照课文,加深对课文内容的理解。
又如在课文学习结束后,教师安排了学生听一首动听的圣诞歌曲,然后让学生排列歌词顺序学生们对歌曲的喜爱激发了他们对英语听力的兴趣,即达到了锻炼了听力的语言运用能力,也更加活跃了课堂气氛,最后的学生英语唱圣诞歌PK大赛更使课堂参与气氛达到了高潮。
课堂当中大量形象化的影音和画面运用起到了良好的教学效果,生动而直观。

本节课与学生所学专业实际的结合程度 英语学习始终是外贸专业学生国际间交流的基础,通过本堂课的学习,学生掌握一定的外国文化习俗知识,也锻炼了他们的听、说、读的能力,对他们十分有益。

A.        Vocabulary Revision (2)
Students read aloud the vocabulary of this unit
B.        Tuning-In (7’)
1. Show some pictures about Christmas, students try to describe them.
2. Encourage students to tell something about Christmas.
C. Presenting Text I “An English Christmas” (16’)
1. Students listen to the tape and go through the text quickly, then fill out the blanks according to the text.
2. Read the text and focus on some important language points.
a. Students read aloud the text together
b. introduce the language point “the past participle form”

D. Consolidation (3’)
 Ask the students to put some phrases in the text into English according to the Chinese given.

 Students prepare retelling the text.

2. Encourage the students to tell what they know about Beijing.
B. Presenting Text I “Beijing”
1. Students listen to the tape and fill out the blanks according to what they hear.
2. Read the text and focus on some important language points.

Choose some countries and ask the students to find out their capital cities.
