 Unit 1 Painting说课

Lesson speech
Good morning! Ladies and gentlemen. All my teachers.  It’s my great honor to be here today. The title of my lesson speech is Unit 1—Painting. Why I choose this lesson there are several reasons:first of all, the major of my students is Pre-education. Painting is their main subject; Second their future job is to be a kindergarten teacher, children like colors,it can help them to observe life and enjoy life; The last colors are the greatest creation of God! They play important role in our lives .So I think if there are no colors in the world our lives can not be colorful!
Ⅰ Analysis of the students:
As we all know ,the  vocational school students are active and creative , be curious to everything,their thought is full of imagination and never out of fashion.They do not like traditional teaching ways and knowledge. Pre-education is their major,to learn all kinds of abilities is quite useful for their future.That is to say the students should study in doing, the teachers should teach in doing. So I put the students into real situation to practice. They are looking forward to their future jobs. I’d like to give them more opportunities to experience the jobs. Their English foundation is different, so I give them different tasks to finish. I also divide the students into groups for each level. They work and finish the tasks in groups, the ability of communication and cooperation will be fostered.  They aren’t interested in English; I use songs, nursery rhyme, situation design and competition to make the class more actively.     
Ⅱ Analysis of the teaching material:
1 Teaching content: This is kindergarten English textbook. Subject13 Unit 1 Painting.There are all kinds of activities including words and expressions ,stories,songs, nursery rhyme,dialogues and games etc.It’s suitable for my students to learn then to teach children after they graduate. It’s not hard but interesting.So the main task is to know how the colors are made and do an experiment by themselves to find out.At last try to be a kindergarten teacher.So besides the knowledge on the book , I deal with the teaching material in this way.
 ctivity 1 & 2 Do an experiment and show three primary colors to teach these drills :
 1. How do you make this color?
    2. Red and blue is purple.        Which one is light\dark?
    3. Red and yellow is orange.      This one is light\dark.
    4. Yellow and blue is green. 
ctivity 3&4:   Practice in group
They are divided into four groups : 1.2.3.4
     Group1 and 2 have a competition of making colors with crayon or water color to see which group makes the most colors.
     Group3 and 4 draw four pictures each and paint different colors then express their purpose in simple English.
tivity 5 & 6: Teach as a kindergarten teacher in a real situation then comment on.
     Ask one student to the front to be a kindergarten teacher to imitate this lesson.

B : Be able to teach children to do experiment.
C :Guiding them to know colors in different season.

 “No cross no crown”, to make the students study hard and work hard for their bright future and contribute to the society ,show love and patience to children.

Ⅴ Teaching procedures:
Step 1 : Revision and Lead-in    5’
(1)   Oral English training : Showing a picture of rainbow .Sing the song as loudly as possible, as clearly as possible and as beautifully as possible .
(2)    Activity 1 & 2.     
Interesting method of nursery rhyme to remember the words: Like this:
(3)   Reciting nursery rhyme with different speed and rhyme.
I like rainbow                        Blue like the sky
Red and yellow                        Green like a tree
Green and blue                        Red like an apple and yellow like a bee
I like the colors of a rainbow        I like a rainbow    I like a rainbow  
Yes I do!                             Yes I do!  
Then I’ll use brainstorm me; ,method ,ask the students to give more jobs, then give hotel jobs to enlarge vocabulary. This is the preparation for the following language training.
Designing purpose and teaching forecast: Using nursery rhyme to remember words is very easy and interesting , and there is moral education in it. Read it with rhyme , train their musical skills and also connect English learning with music.
Step 2 Learning drills and practice.    29’
Activity 3 & 4 : Do an experiment and show three primary colors to teach these drills :
 1. How do you make this color?
    2. Red and blue is purple.        Which one is light\dark?
    3. Red and yellow is orange.      This one is light\dark.
    4. Yellow and blue is green. 
Designing  purpose and teaching forecast : You know learning drills and grammar are very boring for our students. But when we use this method Doing an experiment to make colors and then teach these drills : a+b=c  Red and blue is purple. It turns different.
Activity 4.5: Practice in group
 
    They are divided into four groups : 1.2.3.4
     Group1 and 2 have a competition of making colors with crayon or water color to see which group makes the most colors.
     Group3 and 4 draw four pictures each and paint different colors then express their purpose
Using these drills in simple English.
Designing purpose and teaching forecast: Group competition is a very good method to improve the students’ enthusiasm and foster their team-work spirit. I believe competition makes progress, unity is power. According  to chain practice that is A ask B ,B ask C, to practice oral English. Who will be the first, get reward.
Almost everyone likes drawing and painting. According to painting with different colors, they know how these colors are made and why you use this color. So we get a conclusion that colors change with many things.
 
Activity 6.7: Role changing in situation:
Supposing one is a kindergarten teacher and others are children .Ask one student to give the same lesson as a real situation. See how much they grasp and how can they put it into practice.
Designing purpose and teaching forecast: Imitating lesson is a real situation. The teacher and students change their roles. Not only checking their knowledge learning in class but also train their abilities of braveness , confidence , reflecting and how to control the class. It’s a little difficult but exciting. No sweet without sweat. No pains no gains. It’s a good way to train their psychology quality. It is the preparation for their future interview.
 
 
    3’Step 3 Summary:
1 Making a summary about the language points.
2 Summing up the students performance.
3 Pointing out the moral education .
Designing purpose and teaching forecast: Consolidate the language points and emphasize the key points. Encourage the students’ performance .Moral education is very important for the students. It is my responsibility to tell them how to become an excellent kindergarten teacher. Colors change with our feeling. Try to be happy everyday, try to smile to everybody, especially children, then you are successful!
 Step 4 Homework:     2’
Homework:
1.Ask students to remember the words and make simple sentences.
2.Group 1and 2 change task with Group3and 4.
3. The whole class try to be a kindergarten teacher and give a lesson..
 
Designing purpose and teaching forecast: The whole class has done a good job. The homework can consolidate the knowledge and foster the students’  practical ability.
 Ⅵ Teaching reflection :
The design of my lesson shows that the students are the center of the class. The role changing of the teacher and students in real situation makes the class more actively and effectively. English learning can be connected with other subjects and has a close relationship with their major and future job. So it’s interesting not boring. Try to study hard  In the course of recording the study of students ,I will give the students a real and just evaluation.

Nothing is perfect and nobody is perfect. So I’ll  continue to enrich myself to improve my ability and explore new teaching methods and learning strategies to serve for my dear students. So much for my lesson speech. Thank you very much.
