《Internet》教学设计
I. Teaching Aims and Demands:
1. Language goals:
To enable the Ss to introduce the Internet perfectly by using the vocabulary they learn in this unit.
2. Ability goals:
To enable the Ss to express their opinions on how to make use of the Internet and learn to give advice to those who indulge themselves in the net games.
3. Feeling goals:
To know that everything has two sides: the good and the bad.
II. Teaching important and difficult points:

The Internet Introduction.
Difficult points:
Expressing opinions on how to make good use of the Internet.
Teaching facilities: Multimedia
Teaching Methods: Explanation, Questioning, Outlining, Group Discussion.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm-up
Play a word chain game to warm up the vocabulary. The first word of the chain will be given.
Step 2 Lead-in
Ask Ss to watch a short flash and ask Ss to tell what they can see in the flash.
Step 3 Speaking Skill Developing
a. Ask Ss to tell what we can do on the Internet.
b. Ask Ss to make sentences by using the structures of important points.
“Once you have … , you can……”
“This/That is why/what/when/how/where…”
c. Ask Ss to listen to the tape and introduce the Internet according to the following pictures and expressions.
d. Ask Ss to discuss what bad effects the Internet brings us.
e. Divide the Ss into small groups and ask them to give advice on how to make good use of the Internet.
Step 4 Role-play
Ask Ss to do a role-play. They can choose one of the topics, “the useful Internet” and “the hateful Internet”.
Step 5 Conclusions
Ask Ss to consider that what they can learn from today’s lesson.
Step 6 Writing
Ask Ss to write a short passage beginning with the conclusion.
VI. Homework
1. Do exercises on P68-69.
2. Review the text.
3. Finish your English compositions.
学情分析

Most students in my class not only know just a little English but also can speak a little. As an English teacher, I need to try every possible means to arouse their interest of learning English and encourage them speak as much as possible. So such teaching methods as explanation, questioning, outlining and group discussion are effective to achieve the teaching aims. However, their ability to communicate with others is not so satisfactory.

方法概述

1. Interactive teaching method is applied in this lesson with a lot of T-Ss interactions.
2. The contents are properly extended from the text and many are from out of the text.
3. The moral aim of this period is to help Ss understand a rule “Every medal has two sides.”

自我评价
|
Most of the texts in this textbook focus on the practical English. It’s good for Ss to improve their abilities of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The texts of this unit introduce some basic knowledge of the Internet, such as the World Wide Web, homepage and email. However, that’s not enough for the Ss in today’s modern society. Therefore, more knowledge about the Internet is taught and more abilities are improved in class to help the Ss learn how to make good use of the Internet.
