8B unit 3 Main task说课稿
Good morning , everyone ! I’m No.... . My topic is unit3 main task “Favourite educational computer game ”from 8bunit3 Fun with English . It’s made up of the following parts .
Part 1 The analysis of the teaching material and Ss
Firstly , I’ll talk about the contents , the main topic of this unit is describing computers . Ss learn to talk about many things about computers . This is a Writing lesson , it plays a very important role in this unit , what the students learn in this unit is to enable them to express their own ideas with writing . Ss will improve their different abilities in class , especially the ability of writing . They will learn more about how to describe their favourite educational computer games . Of course , I also wish to encourage them to find out the right ways to use computers . I hope they can deal with the relationship between games and study well after this class .
According to what I’ve learned about the teaching material , I set the following teaching aims .
1. Enable the students to select , organize and present information
2. Enable the students to develop an understanding of the key elements of writing
3. Enable the students to write an article about a favourite educational computer game .
4. Enable the students to get more moral education about how to use computers in right ways .
Of all the teaching aims , the most important and difficult is to enabe the students to describe their favourite educational computer games .
Next, I’ll talk sth. about Ss ,
1. They have learned many things about computers before
2. Most students are really interested in computer games but some of them aren’t good at controling themselves .
3. Ss may be not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes .
Par2 Teaching theories , methods and aids .
I will try to carry out the following theories in my class .
1) Regard the students as real masters in class while the teacher myself act as helper, guider, assistant and director .
2) Encourage Ss of different levels to take an active part in different activities in class to practise English and have fun with English .
3) Enable the students to get some moral education while they are learning English .
So, I will use the following teaching and learning methods :
1) To limit TTT ( Teacher talking time ) and increase STT ( Student Talking Time ) such as Student-centered teaching , Double activities teaching , activity- based teaching
2) For communicative approach , including Task-based learning, free discussion method
I would like to use the following teaching aids in my class : a projector , multimedia , the blackboard
Part 3 Teaching steps
Step1 Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual .
Step2 Lead –in
Have a free talk with students about computer games . Ask the students to ask and answer the following questions in pairs
1 What’s your favourite computer game ?
2 How many levels does the game have ?
3 What’s the main character called ?
4 What’s the goal of the game ?
5 Where is the game set ?
6 Who designed it ?
7. Which computer produce it ?
8. In which countries is the game sold ?
After checking some pairs , present the words like “design, designer, goal, treasure ,producer ” with some pictures .
This step aims to enrouse the students’ interest and encourage them to take an active part in class , on the other hand , it also aims to help the students clean up some of the word barriers in the next steps about reading and writing .
Step3 pre-writing
1. Have the students to read the profile in part 1 and work in pairs to talk about the questions in Part B , then check the answers .
2. Have the students complete the article in part c with the information in part A.
3. Ask the volunteers to read the passage and then read it aloud together .

2. It’s an … game with …levels
3. The goal of the game is …
4. Be sold in …
5. It’s produced by …
Step 4 While –writing
1. Work in four, discuss and work out the main points about the profile about how to write their favourite educational computer games , encourage the students to fill in the blanks first , show some of their profiles in the front .
2. Have them write their favourite educational computer games, encourage them to express their own ideas .
Step 5 Post –writing
1. show one of their passages in front of the whole class , have the students talk about the advantages and disadvantages of it
2. Work in four , talk about their own passages one by one , correct some mistakes and make their passages more wonderful .
3. Encourage the students to choose one of the members to have a match on reading their passages .
Step6 . Summary
Hav e a summary about the writing lesson with the students .
