教学设计Topic: Ask and Show the Way
授课对象:八年级学生
Teaching aims and demands:
1: Learn some words about ask and show the way.
2 : Learn how to ask and how to show.
3: Be honoured and happy to respect others and help others sincerely.
4: Happy to do pair work and take part in the group competition.
5: Know some special manners
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Greetings
T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!
Ss: Good afternoon, Ms. Cheng!
T: How are you?
Ss: I’m fine, Thank you, and you?
T: I’m fine, too. What’s the weather like today?
Ss: It’s sunny. Shall we go to the park?
T: Good idea! ! But where is the park?
[设计意图:以学生耳熟能详的英语问候语“ Good morning.” “ How are you?”以及天气晴朗,这么好的天气,学生提出建议去公园玩,教师借机提出公园在哪儿?引出问路话题。]
Step 2:Presentation
T: Please look at the map .Where is the park?
Ss: It is on White Street.
T: Very Good. And how can I go there?
Ss: Go straight on this street and turn left on the third turning.
T: and next?
Ss: You can see the entrance is in front of you.
T: Excellent! All of you have done a good job.
Show a picture to the students
T: Look at this picture. Now all of you make dialogues “…? Where is the post office )…?”with your partners, then act in the front of the classroom.
[设计意图:教师利用现实生活中的教学资源,从看地图入手, 问“ where is the park ?”,充分利用了现实生活中的教学元素,生活化课堂自然生成.]
Step 3:New words and expressions
The students learn the new words and expressions all by themselves, and help each other, the teacher checks and helps. Now call a student to read them , the others listen and check..
S1:(reads the new words and expressions)
The teacher teaches the new words and expressions, then the Students read them and check each other.
[设计意图:单词的教学,由学生自已拼读——互相检查帮助——教师检查辅导等方式方法改变原来单一的教师教学生跟着读,容易激发学生的积极性,且掌握得更好。真正地体现学生的自学互助与老师的导学]
Call some groups to act out their dialogues. Work in pairs.
Sa: (Point to the picture) Where is the post office?
Sb: It is on the LianHu Street in Han Zhong city.
Sa: But how can I get there?
Sb: Go straight on this road and turn left at the first crossroads.
Sa: and then?
Sb:. Walk along the road and you must look at the Traffic lights when you are at the crossroads.
Sa: Oh, thank you! And next, what should I do?
Sb: Ha ha, you can see the post office is between the Mc Donald’s and the Cinema.
(在学生对话时,教师在黑板上写下涉及到的新单词)
T: Very Good, Lily! Come here. You’re the little teacher. Read “Straight”, please!
Lily: (Point to the road sign) One two begin, Go straight & Go ahead.
Ss: (Read after Lily).
T: Thank you! Who’d like to be the little teacher? Would you like to have a try?
(Some students hands up.) Ginner, please.…
[设计意图:整个过程,学生都处在教师创设的情境中,围绕“ Go straight &Go ahead”等单词,给学生开口说英语提供了机会。 教师还让学生尝试当小老师,带领全班同学一起学习,这既是对该生回答正确的肯定,让优生带动了全班同学,又充分调动了其他学生学习英语的热情.]
Step 4 Improvement
Translate competition (which group will be the winner?)
小组竞赛规则:老师用PPT按顺序呈现需要翻译的短语,四个小组的组员分别在组内讨论互助并举手抢答。每抢答正确一题,给该小组晋升一个星级。星级最高组,为本次翻译竞赛冠军组。
[在口语对话练习的基础上,这种学习策略既激发了学生的合作竞争意识,又更深一层加强巩固了本节课的重点句型短语。内容仍旧环环相扣,循序渐进.课堂向深度,高度发展.]
Step 5 Practice (The teacher shows PPT map)
T: Now, Please Look at this map, and how to go to the sports center?
S1: Go ahead on the fifth street.
T: and next?
S2: Turn left at the second crossroads
T: Very good! And next?
S3: Go on walking along the Bridge Street.
S4: And turn left at the third crossroads.
S5: You can see the Sports Center is on your right.
(The teacher shows another PPT map, and organize students to do rally race to get to the library)
[学生英语表达的热情在此完全得到释放,对话接力,培养了学生在真实场景中运用英语的能力.在此部分,我们可以看到学生思维的火花得以绽放.]
Step 6 summary
Now, boys and girls! Please hands up to summarize this class.?
S1: This class we have learned many new words and important phrases.
S2: This class we have learned much more about asking the way and showing the way.
S3: This class we joined the Group Competition, and our group is the winner. We are happy.
S4: we feel this class is the Joy-Ride English Journey.
S5: Thank you!
Step 7 Homework
Using the words and phrases we have learned today, to make two different sentences at least.
It is easy! And it is fun! Just go for it!
[此部分内容,是课堂的尾声,学生自己谈论本节课的收获,并抒发本节课小组合作竞争学习带给他们的成就感和快乐感。学生自然而然地抒发了本节课寓学于乐的感受。最后的作业部分,为本节课重难点内容的继续巩固和提高拓展。最后教师寄语给予激励,希望学生们勇于探索,继续努力。]
