Module1 unit1 She was a driver before.
I. Contents:
Today I’m going to talk about Unit 1 of Module1 new standard Primary English, Book10. This lesson includes two parts: Listen, point and find” these,” “those “and listen and say. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about these ducks are very naughty. And in section 2, Ss practice the pattern: What are those? They’re dragon boats. These ducks are very naughty.
II. Teaching aims
1. Aims on the knowledge
(1) Get students to grasp a new dialogue and some new words.
(2) Let students grasp the four skill words.
2. Aims on the abilities
Consoliting simple past tense and talk about jobs, pay attention to the usage of before and now.
III. Main points
(1) Help students grasp the key sentences: What music did he play? He played Chinese music. She drove a bus.
IV. Difficult points
Enable students to use the drills fluently and correctly.
V. Teaching aids: CDs, some cards , stickers.
VI. Teaching steps

(1) Warming up and Revision
Play a game : guess the jobs. T play, S guess. Help the Ss remember the words of “ teacher , doctor, nurse, policeman” and so on. Then T writes these word on the blackboard.
The list of jobs should be left on the board as the Ss will need it in Activity1.
(2) Leading-in
Have some students talk about their grandpa and grandma’s jobs. Then ask them: What was LingLing’s grandpa/grandma before? DO you want to know? OK, let’s watch the video and find out the answers.
Watch the videos twice. Help the students answer the questions: She was a driver before. He was a flute player. Teacher writes the sentences on the board. Then teacher teach the words and ask the students practice the words: driver .flute player.
(3) Listening and reading.
Watch the video again and students read it one sentences by one sentences. And have them answer the questions: what did she drive? Who’s the man in the picture? What was he before? What music did he play? Students say the key words and sentences. Teacher writes the important information on the board.
After that, have the students read this test all together. Then have a competition in four groups. Teaches choose one group which read it well.
Then students play roles in groups.
After that, students do some exercises.
VII: Summary
Students close their eyes and think about what we learned today. And have some one say the new words and sentences. The last thing is appraise winner.
