一、本课时的教学设计理念依据:《英语课程标准》倡导任务教学,强调从学生的学习兴趣,生活经验和认知水平出发,鼓励学生在教师的知道下,通过体验、实践、参与、探索与合作等方式,发现语言规律,逐步掌握语言知识和技能,不断调整情感态度,形成有效的学习策略和自主学习能力。本节课就是根据任务型教学理念来进行设计的。在教学过程中,教师根据自己对语言、语言学习和语言教学的理解,以及学生的语言需要和能力去设计教学任务
二、教材分析
1、 教材的地位与作用本课是module 1的第二课时,主题为 “未来的城市”,阅读部分通过学生的想象描绘了未来城市的发展前景。要求学生阅读了解上述内容,展开讨论,交流对未来世界其他方面的看法以了解世界发展的趋势。这是Module 1的主要部分。
2、 教学目标
按照《英语课程标准(实验稿)》要求,高中英语教学要激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,通过听说读写的训练,使学生获得英语基础知识和运用英语进行交际的能力,发展自主学习能力,形成良好品质,树立科学的人生观。本课的主题为 “未来的城市”,阅读部分通过学生的想象描绘了未来城市的发展前景。要求学生阅读了解上述内容,展开讨论,交流对未来世界其他方面的看法以了解世界发展的趋势。
1)、知识目标:
a.培养学生在阅读中的预测能力以及快速获取主要信息的技巧
b.灵活运用文中新学知识来谈论未来生活。
2)、技能目标:培养学生在阅读中的预测能力、发散思维能力以及合作探究的精神。
3)、情感目标:通过指导学生对文本知识的学习与探讨,进一步增强他们对世界快速发展的认识,从而激发他们为创造未来美好生活发奋学习,打好基础;同时培养他们学会沟通,学会合作的意识以及科学的人生观。
3、 教学重难点根据教学目标和学生特点,我确立本课的教学重难点为:
a.培养学生在阅读中的预测能力以及快速获取主要信息的技巧
b.灵活运用文中新学知识来谈论未来生活。
4、 对教材的处理根据教材内容及课型特点对教材进行了开发与整合,如教材当中对本课型的定位是reading and vocabulary, 遵循语言学习的规律我将其整合为reading ,vocabulary and speaking,使输入和输出更加有机的结合;同时将“以学生为本,以学生的发展为本”的课程理念贯穿于整个教学过程中;依照 “整体—局部—整体”的阅读教学思路,将“自主学习、体验参与、合作探究”的学习方式渗透于学习过程当中,由浅入深,由易到难,逐层拓展,循序渐进地实施课堂有效教学。
三、教法分析根据本课内容实用性强、涉及面广、语言运用量大的特点,以“任务型”教学为途径,我确立了如下教学方法和手段:
1. 整体教学法;通过让学生整体感知课文初步了解大意,局部梳理并细化对课文的理解,再进一步整体理解课文为语言的输出做好铺垫。
2.情景法;创造足够的交际环境剌激学生的视听能力,指导学生通过分层阅读更好的理解本文内容,创设真实的情景和语境,调动学生的参与热情,在用中学,在学中用,培养综合运用语言的能力。
3、交际法:学生可以通过pair work 和group work进行交际或交流,培养学生自主及合作学习的能力。
4、讨论法;学生以小组活动的形式进行讨论、合作和探究。
5、以现代化教学手段——多媒体辅助教学,贯穿整个教学过程,增强课堂教学的直观性和趣味性,加大课堂容量,提高教学效果。
四、学法分析
1、学情:本次授课学生为高一年级学生,在完成前三册书的学习当中,已基本适应高中英语学习,并掌握了一定量的词汇,能够用英语进行一定层次的交流。
2、学法:教是为了不教,“授人以鱼,不如授人以渔”,在学法指导上,我重以下几点:
(1)课前预习,要求学生课前预习本课的生词、句型及主题内容。
(2)鼓励大胆开口,积极参与,学会倾听,克服羞涩、紧张、害怕、逃避等消极心理影响,积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。
(3)积极创造学习英语的条件与环境,主动与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。

1.培养学生的认知策略、调控策略。
2、培养学生的交际策略、资源策略。

七、教学过程与思路分析合理的教学过程是教学成功的关键,为了能让学生轻松地进入课堂,在愉悦的气氛中学习知识,在真实的情景中使用知识,在饶富趣味的话题探讨中,积极沟通和交流,最终达成共识,我设计了如下教学步骤:

Part One lead-in The topic of prediction for the future is raised by talking about the weather with Ss.
T: What’s the weather like today? S: It’s…
T: Can you predict what the weather will be like tomorrow? (通过让学生谈论并预测天气,引起他们的兴趣和好奇心,进而把话题引向the city of the future.同时培养学生通过阅读文章标题预测文章内容的技能。) Part Two Reading and Speaking
Step I Fast-Reading 1 minutes will be given to Ss to read. Try to pick out the ideas which are not mentioned in the passage • Clothes Schools • Cars Garbage ships • Telesurgery Batman Nets • Holidays at home Space travel • Forget smoking Telephones for life • Forget the malls Recreation • Food Purpose: to foster Ss’ reading skill in checking key words.
Step II Careful-Reading 3 minutes will be given to Ss to read。 What’s the main idea of the passage. A.The students’ ideas on how to run a city in 2025.
B. People are sure about what the city looks like in the future.
C. The earth’s natural resources will run out in the future. Purpose: to foster Ss’ reading skill in summary
Step III Paragraph-Reading ( Pair work) 3 minutes will be given to read Work in pairs, and discuss these questions about the passage (paragraph 1)
1. Do you think the people are sure about what the city will look like in the future?
2. If the earth’s natural resources run out, what shall we use in the future? Purpose: to encourage the Ss to share opinion with others to get the answers after reading. (Paragraph 2) Question will be raised by teacher before reading
T: When I finished reading the passage, I don’t think all the predictions can come true, what about you? …. Some people , even some scientists made a big prediction that the earth (show the pictures on the screen) would explode in 1999, and the year 1999 would be the end of the human being, so do you believe the prediction can come true? Ss: No
T: Why? Ss: Because we are all save here.
T: So try to read more details in paragraph 2 in 3 minutes and discuss which idea will come true, which is just an imagination, why? • Garbage ships Forget the malls • Cars Telesurgery • Holidays at home Space travel • Batman Nets Forget smoking • Telephones for life Recreation You can express like this: I believe/don’t believe...can come true, because… ( the teacher should give his/her own opinion as tips before Ss’ reading. ) Purpose : to develop Ss’ abilities of exploration, imagination and expression by reading , thinking and discussing.
Part Three Discussion and Speaking (Group work)
Ss will be divided into several groups to discuss the life in the future within 5 minutes by choosing anything they like, and one of them try to make a report. The activity is designed like this: If you were the people from the year 3000, could you introduce your life to us? Purpose : to encourage Ss to use the learned language by speaking ,to improve their integrated reading skills .
Part Four Homework
• To write an article about the prediction you have in the future.
• To see a film concerning about the future at home on weekend. (作业的布置使课堂内容得到了延伸,并把口头技能进一步落实到笔头的训练上,教师要求学生多方面多渠道搜索信息,培养学生自主学习的能力。体现“学习过程是自我构建,自我生成的过程的新课程理念”。)
