一、教材分析
1. 教材的内容及地位:
 
这一课是出自外研版高一英语必修二第二模块的Reading and Vocabulary。本单元的主要话题是“抽烟,吸毒的危害”。这篇阅读文章分为2部分,第一部分从Adam的吸毒亲身经历为例,让学生了解吸毒对人的危害;第二部分简介crack cocaine这种毒品,使学生加深对毒品危害的认识。课文中反复出现了与吸毒有关的词汇及用法。文中的语言及内容都为本模块的重点内容。
 
2. 教学目标:
 
根据《国家教育部新课程标准》(英语实验稿)关于三维目标的定位及其实现途径和目标具体描述,结合高二学生实际和教材内容,我把本节阅读课的教学目标定为:

3、教学重点和难点

难点How to find topic sentences and get the correct theme of the mixed paragraphs.
 
二、学情分析:
   高中学生的注意力具有一定的稳定性,观察力强,接受能力强。他们喜欢富有个性化的设计。本节内容为吸毒,距离学生的现实生活较远,故采用著名电影《门徒》拉近课题与学生的距离。
   由于教学对象为高一学生,他们经过半学期的学习对英语课的各种活动已经有了一定的了解。但在语言、句式、学习方法等方面的知识储备还不够充分,所以我会在授课过程中给予适当的引导和帮助。
 
三、教法分析:
   根据阅读课的教学实际,结合学生的认知规律,我主要采用以下教法:
1.      师生对话: 通过学生熟悉的电影镜头引入本课drug的话题,同时引入有关毒品
的词汇和词组。
2.      讨论:在准确理解和运用语言知识的基础上进行讨论能发挥学生的合理想象。
3.      篇章教学:语篇整体教学培养学生前后联系,部分联系整体的思维能力。 
 
四、学法指导:
1. 处理信息的能力,要处理文章中段落与段落之间的关系,学习从整体上把握文章的结构。
   2. 学后思考,让学生形成阅读后思考的习惯,培养独立思考的能力。
3. 激发学生乐于学习,为终身学习打下基础。

本部分通过引导学生用有关毒品的词汇讨论毒品给人造成的伤害,使学生可以通过视觉、听觉充分了解吸毒者的状态,并用英语进行描述。电影中令人触目惊心的场景可以使学生真实的感受到毒品的危害。

1.              Fast-reading: Read the opening paragraphs of two different t articles and find the topic of each article.
(1)         Explain the idea of topic sentence and help the students to find topic sentences of each paragraph. The theme or purpose of an article comes in the first paragraph, usually as the first sentence.
(2)         Finish activity 2.
(3)         Find the topic sentences of the 6 parts on page13 and show them to the class. Decide which article they belong to. Group competition: let’s see which group get the answer in the shortest time.

    (2) Discussion: How do we stop people from using drugs? Discuss in groups and let’s see which group gets the most advice. Make a list of the advice and present it in front of the class.
    (3) If you are asked to design a poster asking people to stay away from drugs. What slogan will you write on the poster?
      Eg: Treasure your life, stay away from drugs.
 
1.              这部分教师先进行学法指导,向学生介绍 topic sentence的含义,并帮助学生找出开头段的主题句,再通过小组合作,竞赛的方式让学生自己练习找出主题句,从而整理出文章脉络。、
2.              本部分根据两篇文章不同的特点,设计了不同的练习,意在使学生注意文章的细节,进一步把握内容,关注焦点。
 
 
 
 
 
3. 读后活动意在启发学生对文章进行思考,拓展思维。意识到吸毒的危害,更要学会保护自己远离毒品。小组讨论,合作可以增强学生的团队意识。
