一、教学目标:
1.掌握课文出现的新语言点:
What date , talk about , a VCD of Japanese cartoons, Let’s wait and see.
2.掌握并会运用询问日期,询问生日,邀请、征求意见的句型及其回答:
What date is it today? When’s your birthday? What would you like as a birthday present? Would you like to come to my birthday party? Would you like a VCD of Japanese cartoons, too?
3.能正确理解、掌握对话的内容,复习日期的英文表达法,了解英国国家人们过生日时的风俗习惯,培养学生跨文化交际的能力。
4.分角色有感情地朗读对话。
二、教学重难点:
1.重点:能听懂、会说、会读本课词汇,理解运用本课句型,能正确理解、掌握对话的内容并能流利的朗读对话。
2.难点:询问日期、邀请、征求意见等日常 交际用语;有感情的朗读对话。

教学过程:
Step 1. Warm up
Sing a song “The signs in the park”
T: What does the sign mean ?
S: It means be quiet .
T: Yes, we should be quiet. It’s time for our lesson .
Step2.Pre-reading
T: Boys and girls .What date is it today ?
Do you have any news today?Tell us something about you or us .

1. S:Today is Monday
T: Oh, yes .Are you tired on Monday ? Listen carefully and try to answer some questions .A good beginning is half done .Come on ,boys and girls .
S: We have 6 lessons today .
T: What are they ? What subject do you like ?Do you read English every day ?
2. S: We have our English lesson in a new classroom today .
T: Yes, it ’s big. And there are many teachers in it.Let’s say hello to them .
