Module 6 Speaking,writing and task教学设计
一.教材的地位和作用
本课是Module 6的第五课时,是一节写作课。该部分通过阅读关于电影Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon(《卧虎藏龙》)的一则影评(film review)开展的教学活动,要求同学通过写作练习,熟练掌握新学词汇和短语,正确书写介绍电影的文章,学会获取信息并解决相关的问题,写作过程中正确把握每一段落的过渡和衔接。这节写作课是本单元的重头戏,上好这一节课,无论是对文章内容的理解,还是对学生情感的教育,都起着关键的作用。
二.重点和难点
依据普通高中课程标准和高中英语必修(二)的课程价值达成度的要求:
重点:1、强化学生的写作方法和写作技能。
2、培养在写作中使用新学词汇、短语的能力。
难点:1、培养学生提高分析信息,处理信息的能力。
2、能够较为熟练的用英语进行电影、电视节目的评论,能够将英语与实际生活相结合。
三.学情分析
本课的教学对象是高中一年级的学生,他们已具备一定的影视知识,对银屏充满了兴趣,同时他们有着丰富的想象力和思维能力,一定的分析和解决问题的能力。在本单元的前四课时,他们已经就“电影”这一中心话题展开了谈明星、说电影的热身运动,表现出良好的学习状态,展现出高亢的学习热情。
四.教材加工处理
本单元的中心话题是“电影的影评”,内容涉及“电影明星”、“著名导演”、“介绍热门电影”,在前四课时里,学生已经围绕中心话题开展了说电影的热身活动,为本节课做了很好的铺垫。本课属第五课时,由“导入”、“教师示范”、“学生实践”“学生总结”四大部分组成。在本节课的处理上,本节课的内容除了充分利用课本资源外,还挖掘整合现实生活中的影视鉴赏,使本节课的内容更加丰富,更加有效的地完成本节课的三维目标。
五.教学目标
1.知识与技能:掌握与电影有关的重要词汇,围绕文章内容,学会用英语写影评,学会用英语归纳文章的主旨大意,提高阅读理解能力,了解和借鉴世界优秀文化,与国际接轨。
2.过程与方法:通过释义让学生理解新词的含义;利用阅读练习帮助学生归纳文章的主旨大意,进而提高阅读理解能力;通过小组讨论与合作探究,培养学生自主学习,合作学习的思维品质与习惯。
3.情感态度与价值观:通过参与活动,激发学生的学习热情,产生学习英语的浓厚兴趣,加深对电影知识的理解,提高自身素质。
六.教学流程
Step One
Read the passage of reading and vocabulary,write down the sentences that you can’t understand. after learning the text independently.
Step Two
Brainstorm:How many types of films can you think of?
Step Three
Share your favorite films with your partners, make a dialogue with them.
Reference materials:
1.What’s your favourite film?
2.Who stars in it? Who directs it?
3.When did it come out?
4.Who’s your favourite movie star?
5.Can you name a female/male character in your favourit film?
6.What’s the name of the actress/actor who plays this role?
7.Can you name a film that you think is a masterpiece?
8.Think of your favourite film scene.Can you name an actor or actress who is in this scene?
Step Four
Groupwork Display----Task-writing:
Write a film poster for a magazine. The poster should include:
1) A film review section.
2)A list of best films now on at the cinema and a brief description of each film, with your opinion.
3)Photos, pictures or description of pictures. E.g .a photo of a film star in the film.
Example: Film Name : Hero Director: Zhang Yimou
Characters:Jet Lee, Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Donnie Yen
Plot:The story is about the famous assassination (暗杀;行刺) of the King of Qin. Three of his most passionate (充满热情的) opponents (对手;敌手) are trying to assassinate him. One man stops them and get killed because the hopes the King of Qin will unite(统一) the country . Love, jealousy(妒忌,戒备) rivalry(竞争;对抗) and a flurry of (一阵) matial arts make the film exciting.
Step Five
Writing task:
I.Read the text on page 52, and answer the questions:
1. Which paragraph tells you about the plot(the story)?
2. Which paragraph tells you about the characters in the film?
3. Which paragraph gives the writer’s final opinion?
4. Which paragraph tells you about the setting of the film?(Where and when the film takes place?)
II.Write a review of a film you have seen.Follow these instructions.
1. Choose a film you would like to write about.
2. Write one or two sentences about the setting of the film.
3. Write a paragraph about the plot.
4. Write about the main characters and the actors who play them.
5. Give your final opinion of the film.
Step Six
Finish the following exercises.
1. 单句改错:(每句两处)
1)It is the female characters which interests us most.
2) Bravely,good and strong,Xiulian is the character we care of most.
2、翻译:
1)正如在古老的武侠故事中那样,(电影中的)人物不断跳入空中,做出各种漂亮的动作,而此时,观众则吃惊地大喊大叫。
2)武打戏发生在北京的建筑物屋顶,以及远至中国西部的沙漠地带。
