Unit 10 Why was it built?
Good morning / afternoon, everyone! I feel highly honored to share my lesson here. Today my topic is Unit 10: Why was it built? Now, I’d like to make my presentation from the following four aspects: Analysis of teaching materials, teaching methods, teaching procedures, and Teaching Effects.
1. Analysis of teaching materials: ⑴Position and function This topic is from Book 2, Unit 10, talking about famous buildings at home and abroad, which closes to the students’ life, broadens students’ Vision, and fully stimulates the students’ interest. In a word, this topic is a key project listed in the teaching material and it has a strong practicality. Besides, the students are in Grade 1, major in Architecture, active in thinking but their English abilities are weak and different, especially in listening and speaking. So we should be aimed at arousing the students' interest and desiring to express in teaching. According to the syllabus and the S’s characters, I design the following teaching aims, key and difficult points.
