二、能力目标
在连贯的听说读写活动中，训练学生的逻辑思维，快速反应能力和实践能
力，使学生能熟练应用：when is your birthday? 句型及其回答。
三、情感目标
该单元内容富有时代气息，是受到学生普遍欢迎的话题，贴近学生生活，符合他们的心理，由此激发学习英语的兴趣，积极参与英语实践活动。
B. 谈论朋友及家人的生日，用小组互助合作等活动来培养同学间团结友爱增进同学之间的了解和友情。

教学步骤
Step1 warm up(热身)
1、 Greeting 体现师生之间的初步交际
2、问学生are you happy today?告诉学生说： I am very happy today .Because today is my birthday.Would you like to sing a song for me? 集体唱生日快乐歌。营造轻松活跃的课堂气氛，让学生带着积极活跃的心情进入课堂。
Step2 Presentation(呈现)
1、利用歌曲的承上启下作用，说：
Today is my birthday? When is your birthday?
How to say our birthday dates? 引出月份和序数词的教学。
2、利用多媒体手段，用图片按顺序展示一至十二月份中出现的一个比较重要的节日（包括中西方），用When is…？提问节日时间，同时用这样的句型，January is the first month of a year. 让学生初步感知序数词的读法，自然呈现序数词的教学。这个环节的设计意图是，让学生在学习月份的同时掌握序数词的意义，利用节日的目的是让学生在学习过程中了解中西方文化的差异和风俗习惯，拓展学生的课外知识，为平时的阅读做积累。
3、利用游戏 Challenge your eyes 巩固新单词，加深印象。采用小组抢答方式操练，让学生掌握月份单词的读音。从而培养学生的观察能力，记忆力以及快速反应能力。
4、呈现1-31的基数词与序数词，让学生观察，归纳序数词的变化规律，培养学生的观察力，注意力和总结归纳能力。最后总结出：“基变序，有规律，词尾加上th。123 ，特殊记， 8去t，9去e，f来把ve替。整十y 变i， th前有小e来。”在教学中充分体现启发性教学原则。
5、用游戏Say together 突出操练序数词中的几个特殊的数字，突破难点。
6、教师指着挂历说： My birthday is Nov.21st and I’ m 34 years old． When is your birthday? 从而引出本单元的重点目标语言“日期的询问和表达”。 利用师问生答的方式让学生感知Target language ,然后做相关练习1b 和设计的练习，将听说读写有机结合，巩固新知识。
Step3. practice
Ask and answer 反复操练句型：
用When is your birthday? My birthday is …,在屏幕上出示学生喜爱的明星的图片引导学生展开 Pairwork 活动.让学生运用 When is your ／ his ／ her birthday? My ／ His ／ Her birthday is …小组练习，并完成 2d 部分口语交际的教学任务，让学生先阅读对话，再进行问答练习。训练学生的语音，语调，提高语感。
Step4. Consolidation (巩固)
1、利用练习题来检测学生的对重点的掌握情况，以便后面的活动能顺利进行。
2、Groupwork: Make a survey

利用做调查，让学生巩固和强化新语言点，同时培养同学间团结
友爱增进同学之间的了解和友情。这一环节既为这一课做好巩固，收尾，又为下节课作好铺垫和准备工作。

本练习目的是通过让学生去了解一下父母的生日，进行孝敬父母的思想
教育 ，体现情感目标。有效的布置作业可以反馈教学，巩固提高。
