Brain storm Ask Ss to say something about “favourite …” and “I can … ” in 1 minute. And have a competition between 2 groups. Step 2: Free talk : T: My favourite day is Christmas day. T: Can you fly? Ss: No, I can’t.. T: But Santa can. Step 3. Watch the first part of the story and tick or cross. Listen to the dialogue between Santa and Amy and repeat the dialogue. Ask Ss to work in pairs to act out this part. Step 4. Watch the second part of the story (Santa and Amy send presents all around the world). Show the pictures that Mickey, Xi Yangyang and Xiao Wanzi get presents from Santa. Ask Ss to say “There is/are … in the presents.” Listen to the conversation between Santa, Mickey, Xi Yangyang and Xiao Wanzi. Then let Ss work in groups and make a conversation. Step 5. The monkey has no present. He is very sad, so Santa and Amy go back to the factory. Step 6.
