《Westlife Extensive Reading 》说课稿

关于课文
本篇课文选自上海市高等院校招收“三校生”统一考试复习指导丛书(简称“胜券在握---基础篇”)。本教材是中等职业技术学校三年级学生文化基础课必修教材,内容密切结合学生的生活实际,重视科学性、知识性和趣味性。本文课题:Westlife(西城男孩),内容贴近生活实际,教育意义深远,深为学生接受和喜爱。
 
教学目标和要求
本课时是第三课时,教学目标主要是对课文进行复习、巩固和拓展。要求通过学习,学生能到达以下要求:
1.知识目标
能够牢固掌握好课文中的重点生词和词组并且能够熟练运用它们(Revision & Consolidation);运用已经学会的课文知识进行拓展性阅读(Extensive Reading)
2.能力目标
能够通过快速浏览掌握阅读材料的大意,并有所反馈(History of Westlife);能够正确掌握提问和回答的技巧(Asking and Answering)
3.情感目标
了解关于Westlife(西城男孩)成员和作品,通过生动的画面和欣赏他们的歌曲,能够激发学生的学习兴趣,激励学生要像西城男孩那样真诚对待朋友,信任朋友,为了理想而共同奋斗。同时,培养学生的参与意识与协作精神(Listening to a song by Westlife & Expressing the opinion on how to treat friends)
 
不同的教学目标和要求
A. 对于基础相对好的同学,除掌握书本上的单词、词组外,要求拓展所学内容,能将所学用于泛读中,能够学会比较好地清楚表达自己的观点。
B. 对于基础中等的同学,要求学完后能够进行疑问句、陈诉句的变换。
C. 程度较弱的同学,要求能够熟练掌握并运用好课文中的生词和词组,能够了解拓展阅读文章的大致中心含义。
教学重点
Ⅰ.Using the key words and expressions
Ⅱ.Improving the skill of asking and answering questions properly
Ⅲ.Expressing their opinions on how to treat friends or partners
 
教学难点
如何调动和激发学生热情,使学生真正掌握并灵活、连贯使用所学的语言进行交际,顺利完成拓展任务。
 
学情分析
该班级两级分化现象严重。英语学习情况较好的同学,学习的主观能动性较好,上课能积极主动地发言回答问题,回家能主动复习并完成预习作业。对于部分不良学业的学生,我发现他们不但没有较好的学习习惯,而且这部分学生都缺乏学习的兴趣,上课也不愿意主动回答问题,参与性不强。
 
教学指导思想
鉴于以上情况,本人在教学法设计的过程中时刻牢记学生实际,紧扣教材重点和实际需要,注意照顾不同层次,一切从实际出发,以提高学生能力为本位,由浅入深,积极调动整体的积极性,让每个学生都行动起来,教学过程中以鼓励为主,让每个学生都有成功感,都在原有基础上取得进步。
教学活动
活动一:英语课是一门需要大量实践的课。Practice makes perfect (熟能生巧)。整堂课的教学活动设计是由易到难的。单词和短语(words and phrases)是最基本的。我们的课堂活动就是从词汇入手的。因此我先带领学生复习在单词和词组(Listing the key words and expressions to help Ss recall the meanings of them),为之后的英语教学活动打下基础。
 
活动二:复习完词汇后,接下来强化课文中单词和词组的运用。一方面帮助学生避免死记硬背单词;另一方面,复习上节课所教的单词的用法。(Having Ss use the words or expressions to complete the sentences)
 
活动三:通过对课文和泛读材料有针对性的提问,考察学生是否课后认真阅读和理解过阅读材料,同时帮助学生更清晰地理解阅读材料,使得学生在阅读—理解—反馈的过程中逐步提高综合能力。(Having Ss recall the general ideas of text and extensive reading by asking them questions about Westlife)
 
活动四:以生生互动的形式,提高学生正确提问和回答的技能。使得学生通过相互配合完成任务,感受到合作的快乐。(Having Ss do a pair work. One student asks a question related to Westlife, the other one answers it)
 
活动五:这一活动主要是训练学生的听力。通过欣赏一首由Westlife演绎的歌曲(You Raise me Up),帮助学生理解歌词的内容。由于,歌曲的内容正好与友谊、奋斗的课题有关,所以能够很好地教育和激励学生向Westlife乐队的成员学习不轻言放弃、共同奋斗的精神。( Having Ss listen to a song by Westlife)
 
活动六:在真正地理解了Westlife的历史和歌曲的真正含义之后,给予学生足够的发挥空间,去表达自己对朋友的看法。达到我本课题教学的情感目标。( Having Ss read and translate what Westlife said in public; Having Ss express the opinions on dealing with friends.)
 
活动七:布置学生复习在拓展阅读中遇到的重点单词和常用的词组,要求学生通过上网收集更多的关于Westlife的信息,作为之后学习阶段的资料,同时进一步培养学生课外阅读的兴趣。(Reviewing the use of the words and expressions;Getting more information from websites which are about westlife)
 
教法
本课采用的是互动(interaction)、交流(communication)以及归纳(summarizing) 等相结合的方式。由浅入深、环环相扣。教师担任的是组织者、指导者的角色。
 
学法
学生是教学的主体,他们通过词汇操练(words drills)、合作学习法(cooperative learning)、互动学习法(interactive learning)进行学习、共同提高。

Today, we have reviewed the new words and expressions which we had learned last class. I checked if you had made good preparations. We have got the general ideas of the extensive reading material “Westlife’s Romantic rose” and have listened to a beautiful song by Westlife. I have collected a few opinions that you treat your friends. Next class, we will have more practice in the words and expressions.
