关于课文
本篇课文选自新世纪教材《英语》第一册。
教学目标和要求
本课时是第四课时,教学目标主要是对课文进行复习、巩固和拓展。要求通过学习,学生能达到以下要求:
1.知识目标
能够牢固掌握好课文中的重点词组;运用已经学会的课文知识简单交谈关于食物的话题;简单了解西方人节日;学习各种节日的习俗。
2.能力目标
能够根据课文对话部分进行角色扮演,能够正确回答关于课文内容的提问,能够用英语简单交谈关于节日的话题,能够简单理解录像的内容,。
3.情感目标
通过小组讨论,培养同学们的交际能力和团队合作精神;了解西方节日,使学生对中西方文化形成正确的认识,从而有一个全面地了解。
不同的教学目标和要求
A. 对于基础相对好的同学,能够简单交谈关于节日的话题。
B. 对于基础中等的同学,能够脱离课本表演课文中的对话部分。
C. 程度较弱的同学,要求能够熟练掌握课文中的生词和词组,能够正确回答课文问题。
教学重点
Students will be able to grasp the expressions on Food and Drinks and be familiar with the topic after practising orally. 
教学难点
      To express their opinions on food and drink.
学情分析
该班学生英语基础比较良好,有学习的主动性,性格普遍也比较外向。
教学指导思想
鉴于以上情况,本人在教学活动中采用任务型教学,充分调动学生学习的主动性,积极性,自觉性,充分体现课堂上学生为主,教师为辅,师生互动的指导思想,让每一个学生都能“动”起来,不同层次的学生都能有一定的提高。
教学活动
热身练习:整堂课的教学活动设计是由易到难的。先复习上节课所学课文里的一些重要短语,要求学生看到中文解释后立即反映出它们的英文形式;(Warming-up exercises: Put the following into English)为之后的教学活动先做一个热身练习。
活动一: 通过回答一些问题来回忆课文内容。(Answer some questions according to Text II )
活动二: 请学生用表演小品的形式来复习和再现课文情景。(Act a short play according to Text II )
活动三: 请同学看一张‘festivals and holidays食物照片,鼓励他们根据照片来用英语表达自己的看法(一个句子甚至一个单词都可以),Encourage students to say something(one sentence or one word)according to the picture ‘Good Food’. 再列出一些有用的句子,要求填空并朗读句子。(Fill in the blanks and speak out)这些句子为紧接着的关于食物的交谈任务做一个准备,要求学生在交谈中运用掌握。)
针对本课内容,给出话题(Do you have your lunch at the school canteen? Do you enjoy the food there? What is your favorite lunch? Tell the class your reasons.)进行小组讨论(work in groups)。讨论后请几个组的代表上台发表自己这一小组的观点。
活动四:通过观看录像来简单了解西方人的节日。
活动五:提出问题:Which festivals or holidays are good for us? 然后导出图片(the f picture),给同学讲解它的含义。让学生了解:Which festivals and holidays are good for us?
教法
本节课采用的是互动(interactive)、交流(communicative)等教学方法,教学中以学生为主体。
学法
课堂教学以学生为主体,尽可能给学生多一些活动的余地,多一些表现自我的机会,多一份尝试成功的喜悦,让学生自始自终参与到知识形成的全过程中,将“一言堂”变成“群言堂”,让他们通过合作学习法(cooperative learning)、互动学习法(interactive learning)来完成课堂任务。

1.To learn many festivals
2.To guide students to talk about festivals and holidays in English.
3.To learn the festivals and holidays pyramid.
Procedures:

5.valentine’s day                 6. April fool’s day
 
7.thanksgiving                    8. Halloween
Ⅱ.Presentation:
1.Invite a group students to act a short play according to text “Easter Day”.
2.Answer the following questions according to the short play:
1).Who is Carol Anderson?
2) What’s David’s complaint about his lunch?
3) What’s Nancy’s opinion about food?
4) What does Tommy want Mrs. Anderson to do?
5) What does Mrs. Anderson say at the end of the meeting?
3.Talk about festivals and holidays. (work in groups)
(Last homework:: Design your menus for our school lunches with p.p.t..)
Do you have your lunch at the school canteen? Do you enjoy the food there?
If you were a school dietician, how would you plan the menus for lunches in your school?
Discuss in groups, then let your group’s delegate express your opinions.
