一、教学背景
五年级的大部分学生已积累了可以描述四季的相关语言知识，能用两三句话描述喜爱的四季，但具体可以通过哪些方面来描述四季，还没有清晰的概念，也没有形成有效的学习策略。
二、教学目标
1、学生能通过观察、体验、归纳出描述季节的六个范畴：天气（weather），典型活动（activities），颜色（colors）,穿着（wearing），节日（festivals）和食物（food）。
2、学生能运用句型I like… best. Because it’s... The...is/ are…. I often/can (do / eat / see /wear)...描述喜爱的季节。
三、教学活动与设计意图
1. Think and sum up the ways to talk about seasons.
（1）Show a poem and read it together.
（2）How does this poem describe the four seasons?
【设计意图】以诗歌为切入点，发散思维，复习描述四季的形容词和短语，引导学生观察诗歌内容，思考描述四季的途径，并进行归纳。

2. Watch a video about winter in Harbin.
【设计意图】基于诗歌内容，重构文本。
3. Read the text and find out more ways to describe seasons.
(1)Read and find out how Mandy describe the seasons.
(2)Sum up the other ways to talk about seasons.(完善思维导图)
【设计意图】深挖文本。通过阅读文本，找出老师喜欢winter的原因。归纳描述季节的更多途径，这是语言内容方面的归纳。

4. Try to do it.
(1) Describe a season according to word bank and structures.
(2)Think and match the sentence structures for describing the seasons.
【设计意图】给出时间让学生自己思考如何通过图片描述喜爱的季节，培养思维技能，提升语言综合能力。同时引导学生匹配描述不同内容时需要使用到的句型，这是语言形式方面的归纳。
