教材分析
本节课是Unit2 的第四课时,主要的目的是通过阅读短文和写作来交给学生如何合理饮食,如何科学安排膳食,注意日常饮食的平衡,养成健康的生活习惯注重身体健康。通过对3a的学习来让学生了解中医和中药,以及阴阳平衡对身体的影响,并通过口语训练和写作来把这一话题更深入的渗透在实际生活的运用中。在整个单元中,前面的教学内容都是为这节课做好了铺垫,这节课是对整个单元来说,是话题的升华,主题的深化,突出了中医理念中的阴阳平衡。对学生来说,了解中国传统医学文化,能合理安排日常饮食,注重自身健康,是非常重要的。
教学目标
1.情感目标:了解祖国医学文化,能够谈论关于饮食结构的话题,交给学生如何科学安排饮食,合理膳食,养成健康的生活习惯。
2.知识目标:
学习完成任务所需要的语言:
1)Words: way, traditional, believe, balance, balanced, weak, angry, medicine, western, diet, yin/yang, food, herb, everybody, stay, a few, get tired/angry
 
2)Sentences:It's easy to have a healthy lifestyle, and it's important to eat a balanced diet.
            Everybody gets tired.
            When you are tired, you shouldn't go out at night. You should go to bed early.

3. 完成课本第11页3a, 3b和 3c 的教学任务。
教学重点:
1.    Words: way, traditional, believe, balance, balanced, weak, angry, medicine,western, diet, yin/yang, food, herb, everybody, stay, a few, get tired/angry
2.      Sentences: It’s easy to …. It’s important to ….
           Everybody gets tired.

2.      Sentences: But people who are stressed out and angry may have too much yang.
It's easy to have a healthy lifestyle, and it's important to eat a balanced diet.
学情分析
1)情感态度:学生已经了解到健康的重要性,能够针对不同的问题,如压力大、感冒、发烧等,态度委婉的给出一些合理化的建议,并在日常生活中运用所学到的知识来解决所面临的实际问题。学生对这一话题很感兴趣并迫切的需要了解更多的关于如何保持健康的知识。
2)知识方面: 大部分学生会用What’s the matther?” 来询问他人的问题,而且能谈论自身疾病,如I have a cold, I have a fever, I am stressed out等并针对问题用should 和shouldn’t 给出建议。并掌握了本单元需要掌握的大部分词汇。
3)能力方面: 大多数学生能听懂老师和同学的问题,根据所问的问题回答,能听懂老师和同学给出的建议,并能写简短的文字来谈论健康这一话题。
教学设想:
1)复习巩固。复习What’sthe matter? I am stressed out./tired./ thirsty/ hungry. 并给出建议。What should you do? What shouldn’t you do?
2)导入新课。通过阅读,并给出四个任务来完成3a的教学,学生在教师的指引下完成四个任务,第一个任务填表格,第二个任务回答问题,第三个任务画线,第四个任务讨论和翻译。通过四个任务的完成,学生已经学习了3a 的全部内容。能充分体现新课程所倡导的任务型教学。
3)写作活动。 完成3b和一个简单的短文,锻炼学生的写作能力
4)口语训练。完成“Who is the Dr Know”,来练习学生的口语技能。
5)随堂练习。
6)布置作业。
教学方法
1.    把任务型教学贯穿于整个课堂来训练学生的各种能力。
1)如通过设计四个阅读任务来训练学生速读于精读的能力,训练学生理解文章的能力
2)设计写作来训练学生写作的能力。
3)设计Groupwork来训练学生口语能力。
2.    重视培养学生自学与合作学习能力。
1)通过四个阅读任务来培养学生自学的能力。
2)通过discussion和translation来训练学生的合作学习意识和能力。
3.    利用多媒体教学
这种方法寓教于乐,学生感兴趣,学生有直观的印象,图片丰富,课容量大,是一种很又有效的教学手段

Step 1. Revision 3mins)
 1.   Hello, boys and girls. Nice to see you again. Could you give me some advice? I don't feel well.同学们,你们能给我提供一些建议吗?我感觉不太好。
2.     I have a cold. What should I do?
I have a sore throat. / a headache. / a toothache / a fever
Ask students give me some advice.
(S1: You should take some medicine.
  S2: You should drink hot tea with honey.
  S3: You should lie down and reat.
  S4: You should see a dentise..
S5: You should drink lots of water.)
Well done!   
3. Now,Look at the screen, these people have some problems,what should they do? Could you give them some advice? What’s the matter with him? He is stressed out. What should he do? He should listen to music, he shouldn’t work hard at night.
5. Tell students how to stay healthy: Eat right! Sleep right! Exercise to keep right!
Step 2  pretetion    (4mins)
1. OK. Today We’ll learn an article about a healthy lifestyle.First, let’s look at some pictures (让学生看大屏幕,认识党参和黄芪)
2.Tell students dangshen and Huangqi are Chinese traditional medicine.
3.Ask students to read the article quickly while they are listening to the tape.
4. Ask students to find out the new words and phrases they don’t understand.
At the same time to show new words on the screen .
