设计说明:Section B 1a-2c既是对前一章节中提出邀请(can you …)、接受或婉拒他人邀请(Sure or I’m sorry I have to / am doing …、口头或书面邀请(an invitation for …)、一系列关于生活的动词短语(如study for a test, have a piano lesson…)以及关于拟定某位同学的行事历(Vince’s Calendar)内容的复习巩固,又是为下一章节书面陈述无法接受邀请的写作(Thanks for your asking . I’m sorry I have to …)作铺垫的一堂课。因此在设计课堂时我对旧内容的巩固操练放了很大的比重,因为这些内容的掌握熟练是最后写作的必要条件。在新课的引出和设计时我充分考虑英语生活的特点,以初二学生即将赴农校学习这一条线,引出自我介绍,走进新课内容,完成各项任务的落实。其中SectionB 中的听力中的activities和句型…have to / is doing 和对话What’s today ? It’s Monday the 13th都成为操练的重点,为后面完成三项任务(helping Ms Feng to ask their classmates to her birthday party, helping Ms Feng to ask the teachers to the party and making an invitation for coming to the farming school)解决了困难, 使得任务的完成水到渠成。并在此过程中拉近了师生距离,培养了学生的合作意识,走进了现实生活。特别是课堂能始终被一条线引领着,极具整体感,各个步骤之间的衔接也就能很自然地展开。设计的另一优点是农校生活是初二学生的兴趣所在,也就更能争取到学生的合作,让课堂活泼生动。
教学思路
一. 能力目标培养
掌握日期的表达、设计不同场合的活动、熟悉邀请的口头和书面两种形式、学会接受或婉拒他人的邀请、宣传推广生日宴会,并完成来自于现实生活中的任务――为农校之行邀请更多的朋友。
二. 情感目标培养
同学之间互相帮助让我们的生活处处充满乐趣,同时通过相互之间的合作培养协作精神。
三. 课堂主线
以初二学生即将赴农校学农这一活动来引出自我介绍,新课呈现以及最后的任务设计。
四. 课堂重点
词汇: today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, weekday, the day before yesterday以及表示各种活动的短语,如have a piano lesson , do farm work
句型:I have to / I am doing …on …
对话:What’s today? --It’s Monday the 13th
对话:-Can you …? -When?
-Monday the 13th. –I’m sorry.
-What are you doing on Monday the 13th? --I have to / I am doing …

五. 课堂高潮
1.对话――邀请同学参加冯老师的生日宴会,同学陈述自己无法前往的理由。
2.合作推广宣传――帮助冯老师邀请在座的老师参加其生日晚宴,要求学生用更生动更富感染力的语言来表现
3.制作邀请函――邀请更多的朋友前往农校学习,因为在农校的学习中我们更需要朋友之间的互相帮助。
六. 教学步骤
Step One Self introduction
Tell the students that I’m a teacher coming back from the farming school, and I have brought lots of presents from the farming school. Encourage the students to introduce themselves to me by showing their number . for example, I’m the first or I’m the twenty –third.(引出序数词表示日期的用法,为下一步的单词对话呈现作准备)
Step Two Presentation and practice
Present the new words today, tomorrow, weekdays with the help of a calendar. The add the dates to the calendar. In this way, we have finished two questions “What’s the date today?” and “What day is it today?”. Then introduce that “What’s today” means what date+what day and present the answer “It’s Monday the 13th.”Ask students to work in pairs and finish more dialogues about tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and some other days . Meanwhile present the students the new calendar which regards Wednesday the 15th as today to encourage them to make up more dialogues.(把学生去农校的周三设计成今天不仅激发学生的兴趣,使学生之间的对话合作灵活生动,也为对话操练争取了更多的题材,特别能为下文的听力作好过渡)
Step Three Listening Practice
We will be busy today , tomorrow …What about Vince who appears in the listening practice. Ask students to get the general idea after listening .Then finish Vince’ calendar. Check the answers and the students are asked to demonstrate their answers in the form of “Vince has to …/Vince is doing …(听力内容的训练不仅进一步巩固了第二步中的新词汇,而且为下文的activities 和…has to / is doing 的复习作好准备。)
Step Four Presentation and practice
Discuss different activities in the farming school with the students . Ask students to design their favorite activities for the trip to the farming school. According to their answers , a plan for the trip to the farming school will come into being. Now their task is to make their plan clear by saying “ I have to / am doing ...on ...”. Besides they are asked to design activities for my birthday party which will be held on Wednesday The 15th . Ms Feng has to /...is doing can be used to present their achievements.(帮助设计农校活动和冯老师的生日派对不仅帮助拓展操练新短语新句型,而且为下文的任务完成打下铺垫。)
Step Five Task one (Helping to invite their classmates to Ms Feng’ party orally)
Help Ms Feng finish writing an invitation and then invite all the classmate to my birthday party . At least 8 students are needed for inviting one by one . The dialogue “A—Can you come to …? B-- When ? A—Wednesday… B—Sorry , I have to …” will be practiced by nearly everyone. (对话落实了第一个任务, 而且对本单元的重点进行了全面的复习,加上同学自己的语言组织更生活化。)
Step Six Task Two( Invite the teachers to Ms Feng’s birthday party with the help of advertising)
The fact that the students are leaving on Wednesday the 15th makes my birthday party isolated .Then ask students to invite the teachers sitting in the classroom in their own words. The written invitation may help a lot , however they have to refine the invitation loudly, passionately and in their own words. Groupwork may be needed for the task is kind of difficult . Three or four students will be lucky enough to be advertisers.(邀请函的制作属于前一堂课的内容, 让学生用自己的语言用饱满的激情来宣传生日派对是对他们语用能力的一次锻炼和提升,也是为下一步向同学致谢创造机会)
Step Seven Task Three ( Making more invitation cards for the trip to the farm school)
Thanks for their help . Now the beautiful photos and delicious cakes from the farming school will be my presents. Also introducing more about the farming school to the students will be my gift. Show them more pictures which may declare that teamwork is really important . So we need to make more invitation for the trip to the farming school to attract more friends to join us . Groupwork is needed .And two groups are invited to finish the invitations hung on the blackboard .(这个活动的设计让德育教育走进课堂,并使任务的设计真正生活化。)
六. Homework : Advertise one’s own invitation, learn to help each other and enjoy the life in the farm school.
