Unit2 What’s the matter, Mike? 说课稿 Good afternoon, everyone, it is my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas. My presentation consists of six parts.
I .Analysis of teaching material
Today I’m going to talk about Part B of Unit 2, PEP Primary English, Book 6— What’s the matter, Mike?. This lesson includes one part—Let’s learn and it mainly deals with the dialogue about How does Amy feel? and the six description words— happy, sad, angry, excited, tired and bored.
II. Teaching aims
1. Aims on the knowledge
(1) Learn the new words happy, sad, angry, excited, tired and bored.
(2) Learn how to ask and answer How does sb feel?
2. Aims on the abilities
(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.
(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups
3. Aims on the emotion
(1)To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.
III. Key-points of this lesson
(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: How does sb feel?
(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.
(3) To develop Ss’ interest in English.
IV. Difficult points
The pronunciation and spelling of he words “tired” and “bored”.
V. Teaching methods
As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method.
VI. Teaching procedures
I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.
Step 1. Warm-up and preview
(1) let’s chant —How are you feeling?
(2) Listen and sing the song— If you are happy.
(3) Free talk between T and Ss and talk about people's facial expression. And then lead-in the new words.
Step 2. Presentation
(1) Show pictures of different cartoon characters with different feelings and ask Ss. For example, T: How does Xiaoxin feel?Ss: He feels sad. / He is sad.
(2) I say, you do.
The teacher says “happy” and the students show the expressions.
Step3 Listen to the tape recorder.
Step4 Practice
(1) Group Competition
Divide the students into six groups. Show the cards quickly and ask the students to read aloud and quickly.
(2) Group work
In this step, I’ll divide the Ss into six groups, and each group chooses three students to compete. No1 shows the cards. No.2 acts different facial expressions according to the card. And the third one guesses .Use the sentence pattern How does sb feel? ask and answer.
(3)Who has a good memory?
Ask the students to look at the pictures on page19 and ask the students to remember the six persons’ feelings in 1 minute and then ask “How does...feel?”.
Step5 summing up
Let the ss sum up what we have learned this class.
Show students some exercises and ask them finish them quickly to review what they have learned in the class.
Homework:
(1) Write the new words on exercise book four times.
(2)Make a survey, ask five classmates How does she/he feel?
