引言:课堂教学的关键,是制定好的教学方案,是在备课中深入理解教材和创造性的处理教材。新课程标准的三维教学观,具体到英语学科就是要全面发展学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识五个方面的素养,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。开展课堂探究是培养学生综合语言运用能力的最佳手段。本着这样的原则,我将这一课程按照教材理解、教学目标、教法学法、教学过程和板书设计等五个方面进行说明,
一、教材理解
(一)知识背景及课程、教材        
 我说的课程是冀教版高中英语Unit 4 Movies from the East, Views from the West 其中第一部分:Intensive reading:Li Ming's New Pen Pal Talking About Chinese Movies.
本单元围绕Movies from the East, Views from the West这一主题开展听、说、读、写多种教学活动,reading passage采用e-mail的方式进行展示。随着电脑走进千家万户,一张无形的巨网也悄然织起,这就是Internet。一旦连接了Internet,信息传递就成为一件非常轻松惬意的事情。在网上最常使用的服务就是E-mail(electronic mail,)所以本课是一个非常贴近生活、具有时代性、可挖掘性的教学主题。此外,本单元所选的语言素材涉及中外电影,有利于学生了解外国文化,增强世界意识。 
(二)教学重点难点        
1.利用已有知识谈论中外电影,拓宽知识面,增大词汇量,提高英语阅读能力。
2.调动学生的积极性,组织他们利用表达attitude功能结构谈论他们所感兴趣话题。
3.掌握英文书写e-mail  的基本方法          
二、教学目标
   教学目标的制定,一定要做到具体而明确。通过设计科学合理的教学方法,在教学中,真正发挥教师主导、学生主体的作用,才能使教学效果事半功倍,达到教与学的和谐完美统一。
1.知识技能
1)学会评论某事物,表达对某事物的观点。     
2) 正确 书写英文e-mail 。         
 3)学习一些有关单词、短语和句式,如:bored及其相关词,boring,bore   等
2.情感态度
1)让学生了解本单元的总体学习目标,以便激发学习学习积极性。            
2)从谈论中外电影,著名华人影星等入手使学生了解到中国高度发达的电影业,增强学生的民族自豪感。增强学生学好英语自信心。
3)通过开展小组活动,指导学生积极与人合作,相互学习,相互帮助,培养其团队精神。
4)通过中外电影文化对比,加深对中国文化的理解。
三、教法、学法
教法的选择是课堂教学成败的关键。阅读课重在培养学生的英语阅读理解能力。因此选择使用的教学法在具体教学中以阅读教学为主的任务教学法,活动教学为辅,充分利用电化教学手段创设情景,利用图片、投影仪、录音机等辅助设备,培养学生直接用英语理解、表达和思维的能力。在教学中辅助使用交际教学原则,如讨论(Which film do you prefer? Chinese movies or western movies? )等,培养和强化学生的语言实践能力和自主学习能力。
(一) 英语教学的目的之一在于让学生获得用英语交际能力,所以在课堂教学活动中需创设特定的情景,使学生通过讨论和想象,促进对课文的的理解和记忆,启发学生思维达到教学目的。
(二) 充分利用多媒体,投影仪,录音机等教学手段,为学生创设英语学习的环境增加学生的学习兴趣。 
(三)要让全班学生都参与到课堂活动中来,同桌之间的合作,尤为重要,合作简单,增多操练机会。根据各层次学生的学习规律,合理调动各个层次学生的学习积极性和主动性,把学习方法传授给学生,从而提高学生的整体学习水平。
(四)学生学习策略       
 1.认知策略:通过-ing,ed等词根的学习,掌握bored     , boring等词,同时掌握同类词的学习方法。
           2.调控策略:学生理解解有些语句如有困难,略读时掌握大意,接着通过教学加深理解,再作较高要求。
3.交际策略:通过谈论电影提高用英语交际的能力。同时让学生了解e-mail书写方式,提高写作水平。            
4.资源策略:让学生了解中外电影文化一样是学习的重要途径。
四、具体教学步骤Teaching procedure
Step 1:Lead-in and   Presentation (2 tasks)
       1.利用课件展示与本文相关的中外影片、影星,组织讨论。这一步骤的重点在于激发学生对本文的兴趣。                            
活动形式:小组讨论练习。发出指令,提出要求;Look at the pictures,
tell us who is the hero of these movies?What are the names of the movies?
学生组对讨论,请小组中心发言人阐述讨论结果。由于课前要求学生搜集有关影视方面的信息,可请学生“say something about Jackie Chan”

由于本课主题是Movies from the East, Views from the West。强调中西方影视文化对比,且正文中提到电影Pay it forward,因此要对这部电影进行简介:Comments on the movie "pay it forward’

2. How to write an e-mail? 首先,必须要标题(Heading)栏的“收件人(To)”框中输入收信人的E-mail 地址。“主题(Subject)”框的内容应简明地概括信的内容,短的可以是一个单词,如greetings;长的可以是一个名词性短语,也可以是完整句,但长度一般不超过35个字母。“主题”框的内容切忌含糊不清。E-mail一般使用非正式的文体,因此正文(Body)前的称呼(Salutation)通常无须使用诸如“Dear Mr. John”之类的表达。在同辈的亲朋好友或同事间可以直呼其名,但对长辈或上级最好使用头衔加上姓。如:Tommy,或者Mr. Smith.

 Step2. Pre-reading (1 task)
Students are enabled to work in pairs on the questions:
1.How do you think Western audiences feel about Chinese movies?
2.Do you think their impressions are true to what you see in Chinese movies?
3. Why and how do they get these impressions?
Step 3.Reading(3 tasks)
1. Skimming
   Students are supposed to skim the text as quickly as possible, and then divide them into several parts and catch the main idea.
2. Scanning
   Students are supposed to scan the text a second time but more carefully, then do the exercises :
1) Why was Marry a little surprised after she had watched the Jackie Chan’s movie      ?
2)Do you think Marry like this movies? Why do you think so?Vary answers.
 3. Language points       
Students are divided into three groups, each group works on one paragraph to pick out and discuss the difficult and important language points, and then the group leaders give whole class a language report. If there are some difficult points which the students can’t work out, teacher may give them some hints and work out the difficult ones with the students.
 
 
Pay attention to these sentences.

Step 5 Post-reading : Discuss in pairs on the following questions:
What’s the differences between Chinese movies and Western movies according to Mary?

Chinese movies
Western movies
Chinese movies have a lot of action in them
 
Chinese movies always have happy endings
western movies are often so serious and realistic.
Chinese film makers think that special. effect and action are important
 In western movies you can see a lot of beautiful scenery.
No romance in a typical Chinese movie
Some of the western movies are very romantic.

Step 6.Summary     
In this period, I lay special emphasis on enabling the students to master the reading skills. Task- based activities help the students to get the information, organize the information and express the information with English. Their comprehensive abilities are also cultivated. Analysis of the teaching material
status and function.
Step7..Homework
 (1) Work with your partner to collect as much information about the things and persons mentioned in the text as possible. Give a report about what you collected tomorrow.
