Learn some words and phrases: cup, cake, cold drink, have some dumplings, feel hungry, bun, buy.
The important points:
Sentence pattern: I’d like some……; I want some……, Would you like some……?
Difficult points:
I feel hungry. Let’s buy something to drink.
Preparation:
tape recorder, cards computer and TV.
Teaching steps:
Step 1: Greetings
T: Good morning, boys and girls!
Nice to see you again!
How’s it going?
Step 2: Let’ listen to a song.
Step 3:Prensentation
CAI shows some cup cakes, a cold drink, some buns, a pie, some dumplings.
Step 4: Practice reading the words.
Step 5: T acts: I’m hungry. I feel hungry. I’d like to buy some ( ).
Ss: cup cakes, buns, dumplings, pies……
T acts and says: I’m thirsty. I’d like something to drink. I’d like a cold drink.
Step 6: T writes on the blackboard:
I’d like a cold drink/ some cups/……= I want……
Step 7: Drill: Read the sentences above. ( single , two by two )
Step 8: Let’s listen to the tape and imitate.
Pair work: Read the dialogues.
Perform: Can you make new ones?
Step 9 Try to make some shops by yourselves. Make new dialogues.
Step 10 Let’s play a game:
Guess: What am I saying?
Step 11: Do some exercises on the workbook.

Teaching goals:
Part C and Part D of Unit 1: Do you have ……?Yes, I have./ No, I don’t.
Try to understand and practice reading Part D.
The important points:
Drill the sentence pattern: Do you have……? Yes, I have./ No, I don’t.
Difficult points:
Understand and practice reading Part D.
Preparation:
tape recorder, cards computer and TV.
Teaching steps:
Step 1: Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls!
Nice to see you again!
How’s it going?
Step 2: T shows some cake cards: I have some English books/ cake cards. Do you have any English books/ pens/ pencils/ bags/ rulers/ cake cards/……?
T helps the students to answer: Yes, I have./ No, I don’t.
Drill: Do you have any ……? Yes, I have./ No, I don’t.
CAI shows: cup cakes, a cold drink, dumplings, buns, a pie.
Drill the sentence pattern with the words above.
Step 3: Let’s draw:
T: Draw an ice-cream/ a strawberry cake/ sandwich/ an apple/ dumplings, please.
Let’s play a guessing game: T collects some of the cards, and let the students use the sentence pattern learnt to guess what cards she has.
T chooses little teachers play the guessing game.
Step 4: Let’s listen to an English song. The students give themselves points.
Step 5: CAI shows a picture: The children are eating at the beach. T turns on the tape recorder, let the students listen to the short essay and try to understand it.
Practice reading the essay.

Teaching goals:
Go over Part A, B and C. Learn Part E and Part F of Unit 1: let’s write; Let’s have fun.
The important points:
Let’s write; Try to understand Part F.
Difficult points:
Finish the exercises of Part F.
Preparation:
tape recorder, cards computer and TV.
Teaching steps:
Step 1: Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls!
Nice to see you again!
How’s it going?
Step 2: Revision.
Respond to what the teacher has said:
a、T acts and say: I feel hungry.
Students: I’d like some buns/ dumplings/ pies/ cakes……
T acts and say: I feel thirsty.
Students: I’d like a cold drink……
b、CAI shows a picture of Part D, T lets some students say something about the picture.
Step 3: Answer the following questions and fill in the blanks on the book:
Question: What are the children eating?
Lingling is eating an apple.
Peter is eating a piece of ַַcakeַַ.
Anne is (ting an ice-cream).
Mingming (is eating a sandwich).
Step 4: Let’s listen to an English song. The students give themselves points.
Step 5: T: Open your books to Page 4, say something about Picture 1,2,3, and Picture 4.
Do the exercises:
1、 Dino takes one lick and finishes all the ice-cream. (3)
2、 Dino sees Tim eating a delicious ice-cream. (1)
3、 He asks for some and Tim agrees to give him a little of his ice-cream. (2)
4、 Tim is unhappy. Now he has nothing to eat! (4)
