The first period
A. Look and say
Presentation
1. Bring in a doll with the clothes to be taught in the unit. Alternatively, make a paper doll and cut out clothes to fit it.
2. Revise the word doll and then introduce the clothes one by one saying My doll has a … Write the names of the clothes on the board.
3. Pick up the clothes one by one and see if the pupils can tell me the name .Say What's this?
4. Ask the pupils What colour is the coat? … My doll has a blue coat.
5. Play the tape for the pupils to listen and repeat.
Practice
Tell them to work in pairs. Encourage them to act the girls on the page and say My doll has a…
Workbook (p.44)
Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and read the speech bubble. Tell them to mach the pictures and the sentences by writing the correct letters in the boxes. Then ask them to colour the pictures.
Homework
Read and recite the new words and the text.
Write the copybook.
课后记
教学生把T-shirt, shirt和skirt这几个单词一起记,学生可以记得好一些。
The second period
Revision
1. Ask the pupils to act the text out.
2. Talking about some pictures.
B. Say and act.
1. Revise the names of the colors. Put two of the same item of clothing side by side and walk around pretending to decide with one you like. Say I like the green T-shirt. Do you like this T-shirt? Prompt them to reply Yes, I do or No, I don't.
2. Repeat the process with other items of clothing.
3. Get a pupil to ask Do you like this T-shirt? Answer Yes, I do. Repeat the process with a different pupil and item of clothing and answer No, I don't.
4. Play the tape for the pupils to listen and repeat.
Practice
1. Work in pairs.
2. Ask some pairs to act it out.

1. Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and listen to the tape.
2. Tell the pupils to find out which clothes the children like and do not like and then put a tick or a cross in the boxes.

The third period
C. Storytime
1 Point to the characters in the pictures and read their speech bubbles aloud. Ask the pupils to point to the speech bubbles as I read them.
2 Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette for the pupils and ask them to say the sentences after the cassette.
3 Point to the items of clothes and ask the pupils What colour is the …?
4 Ask the pupils to role-play the story in pairs and read the characters’ speech bubbles. Some pairs may like to come out to the front and act the story.
5 Use Storycards to revise the sequence and language of the story.
D. Write the correct words.
Ask the pupils to read the story again. Read the words in the speech bubble with the pupils. Demonstrate using the first sentence how to write the word in the blank by looking at the small picture. Use Transparency to check the answers.
E. Say the sound and the words.
1 Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette and ask the pupils to listen to the sound and the words. Point out the spelling of this sound.
2 Say the words slowly and clearly. Check that the pupils are saying the sounds correctly.
3 Point to the pictures and check that the pupils can say the words without my model.
4 Play the cassette again. Ask the pupils to listen to the rhyme and point to the girl with the red shirt and a bird under her skirt. Get the pupils to say the rhyme.

The fourth period
F. Look and do.
1 Show the pupils the clothes on page 66. Tell the pupils to select from these clothes and draw and colour them on the doll on page 51.
2 They then circle the correct words to describe the clothes that their doll on page 51 is wearing.
3 Tell the pupils to work in pairs. Ask them to turn to page 66 and cut out the doll. Ask them to take turns to describe the clothes their doll has. While listening, their friend cuts out the correct clothes and puts them on the doll. Then they compare the new doll with their friends’ doll on top of page 51. Both should have identical clothes.
G. Listen, point and chant.
1. Ask the pupils to tell me about the colour of the clothes in each of the different pictures. Play the cassette for the pupils to listen to the chant.
2. Play the cassette again and tell the pupils to point to the correct picture for each of the verses.
3. Play the cassette again and encourage the pupils to join in with the words.

Workbook (p.46)
1 Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and listen to the Workbook Cassette.
2 Tell the pupils to draw lines to match the children and the clothes according to the language on the cassette.
Workbook (p.47)
1 Ask the pupils to look at the top of the page and listen to the Workbook Cassette. They need to circle the correct trees according to the sound they hear on the cassette.
2 Ask the pupils to look at the bottom of the page. Tell them to look at the pictures and fill in the blanks in the sentences for the pictures.
Workbook (p.48)
Tell the pupils to look at the pictures on the left, read the sentences on the right, and then write the correct letter in each box.
