Module 3 Journey to space
一．教材内容分析
本模块以太空旅行为话题，把焦点放在对太空的介绍上，话题对学生极具诱惑力，学生对神秘的太空也比较感兴趣，可以引发他们的求知欲。通过探讨人类探索太空的进展情况，开展丰富多彩的活动。教学中应结合学生实际情况，灵活调整教学内容（或增加，或删除，或前后调整），合理设置课时。适当进行拓展，以丰富学生知识，拓展学生视野，进行理想、人生规划，世界观的教育。

二．学情分析
通过前面第二模块的学习，学生基本掌握了现在完成时句型。本单元则是在前一个模块的基础上引入到太空旅行这个话题上，进一步学习现在完成时。这是对学生很神秘，也是他们较感兴趣的话题。在教师预设的任务中，引导学生在交际中动态生成，学生有话可说，乐于合作分享。这样就有利于他们更好的运用课本知识，达到提高综合运用语言能力的目的。

听 听懂有关介绍人类探索太空的简短对话，提高学生实际应用能力。
说 能利用现在完成时句型介绍人类探索太空的情况；流利地说出本模块的生词、短语。
读 能阅读包含现在完成时句型的有关太空介绍的简单文章。进行简单的阅读技能训练。
写 1．能用现在完成时句型写出简短的介绍太空的句子；
2．能正确使用缩写形式；
3．能用参考词造句。
演示与表达 能向全班做有关人类探索太空的情况的介绍。

四．重点难点
1. 教学重点
[1] 重点句型：现在完成时句型与already,just,yet等连用；have/has gone to与 have/has been to的区别。
[2] 重点话题：谈论人类探索太空的情况。

2. 教学难点
[1] 掌握现在完成时句型。
[2] 能用恰当地道的英语介绍太空。

3. 突破途径
以话题为核心，通过个人思考、小组及班级活动等不同途径，在听、说、读、写中使单词及句型以不同的形式反复出现，在足够的输入中，达成有效的语言输出。

五、教材处理
1、任务
核心任务：能够运用所学句型结构向不同的朋友介绍人类探索太空的情况。三个环节如下：
pre-task：学生联系生活实际，激活背景知识。
Task-cycle：通过整个模块的听说读写的训练，强化“介绍人类探索太空”的表达能力，为完成核心任务做好铺垫。
post-task：达成任务，展示成果，自我评价，反馈学习情况。

第二课时： Reading and Vocabulary
第三课时： Pronunciation and speaking .Writing.
第四课时： Language in use 1, 2,3,4,5,6
第五课时：Language in use 7,8,9, Around the world, Module task

六．教学设计
第一课时：Listening and vocabulary
Teaching Aims and Demands:

2. Listening skill: To understand conversations involving introduction of the space in listening. Improve the students’ listening ability.

Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Listing
1. Show Ss a picture of the space.then get them to talk about the space.
设计意图：从学生所熟悉的环境入手，利用学生已有的认知水平进行头脑风暴，并引入新单词，主要为下一步谈论人类探索太空的情况做准备工作。
2.Talk about the latest news about the space.
设计意图：为导入新句型have/has +pp作铺垫。
Step 2 Learn to describe the space.
1. T: This is the space. Could you describe how much you know about it? 教师导入新
句型: have/has +pp … Have/Has… pp…?
2. Look and say. The teacher shows pictures of the space, and the students choose suitable words to describe them.
　3. Students ask and answer in pairs.
设计意图：承认学生的个体差异，引导学生通过个人思考来引出新句型，以便教师对新语言点的呈现更加自然。在情景变换中，学会使用不同的词进行描述。(全班活动　　小组)

2. Read through the questions in Activity 4. Listen and answer.
3. Listen again. Then check the answers.
4. Listen and read after the tape, then explain some difficulties.

设计意图：在常规听力练习中进一步提高学生听的能力。充足的输入，更有利于学生进行目标语言的输出。

2.Guessing game.Get Ss to guess if there is life on other planets.Then tell the class why.
设计意图：通过设置悬念来导入新课，能够立刻调动起学生的参与性，启动学习的发生。学生非常喜欢情景猜测这种游戏。这可以调动他们各方面的情绪，激活他们已有的知识水平。

1. Do Activity 5.Answer the questions about the words in the box.。Divide the class into four teams.Have a competition.
2. Collect the answers.
设计意图：根据他们的经验，充分发挥他们的想象力，从而达到锻炼发散性思维的目的.同时，小组之间的竞赛体现了协作和团队精神。
