Unit 2 Project Hope has built many schools.
课型:Reading and writing
课标要求:熟悉科学文化(教育)等方面话题;能从简单的文章中找出有关的信息,理解大意。
学情分析:本模块的话题是教育,以希望工程为主题。本课是第二单元的第一课时,通过学习,进一步了解希望工程,培养关爱他人情感,从而学会关爱同学、家人、集体等,继续学习现在完成时。
教学目标:

过程与方法:
通过小组活动,谈论希望工程,进一步了解希望工程,练习大数字的表达法;通过个体活动,阅读文章的大意从而确定文章的主题,然后小组合作讨论、核对;通过个体阅读,理解文章细节,然后小组合作回答问题,还要通过上下文的因果关系找出答案;个体和小组竞赛快速完成活动4、5,理解和巩固词汇。

T:This is a big and beautiful school .We are enjoying studying here. But many families are poor. Many boys and girls can’t go to school. They are out of school. So We have to help them. It’s our duty to help the poor children.

教学反思:  
本课的主要话题是希望工程。首先,开展有目的的提问。在和谐的课堂氛围中,通过交谈式的提问,谈论学习生活,使学生感兴趣,巩固现在完成时的用法,为新知识铺垫,学生有话说,让学生对所学语言产生亲切感,引发学生学习英语的动机。接着,通过提问,Do you know something about “Project Hope”?按照教材知识结构的内在顺序和学生认知活动的顺序进行,环环相扣,由浅入深,通过听、说,引出“希望工程”; 通过真实数据,把希望工程的贡献,当视角作为提问的切入点练习听、说、读,进一步了解希望工程,巩固现在完成时。再根据文章内容,精心设计有效的问答,练习听、说、读、理解大意,了解希望工程的重要性。第三,把握时机。通过有意义的问答,细节理解文章,进一步理解希望工程的深刻意义。如:Do you often look after your parents when they are ill?Why or Why not?、Did Shen’s school have lots of books last year ?What was Shen’s school like last year ? Would you like to give your used books to poor children ?    Who has given money to Project Hope ?What can you do to help poor children ? Would you like to give your pocket money to them? It’s our duty to help others. What do you think of it ?问题联系学生实际,面向全体学生,使每一位学生积极参与有意义的问答交流。不但练习听、说、读、写,巩固词汇,培养关爱他人情感,理解希望工程的深刻含义,而且把献爱心化做具体行动。通过学习,使学生由过去只知道一点希望工程,到了解更多;由只知道父母关心自己,到懂得了父母也需要关爱,以及同学之间互相关心、爱护;不仅了解了希望工程,而且对学生进行了生动的爱心教育。不足之处:词汇运用、短文细节理解还需加强。可布置课外作业,搜集信息,了解更多希望工程。加强预习学习策略的培养,效果会更好。同时,课堂提问,要因人而异,因材施“问”让学生人人有机会,个个有愿望来思考、回答;根据不同的“对象”,精心设计所提问题的角度、深度、广度,力求面向全体学生,把握课堂提问的艺术,开展有效的课堂提问,往往能把学生带入一个奇妙的问题世界,使学生积极思考问题,寻求解决问题的途径和答案,从而培养学生分析问题、解决问题的能力,大大地提高英语课堂教学效率。
