On one cold, windy day, I hurried my way to school. Suddenly ,I found a handbag lying on the roadside. I picked it up and opened it. To my surprise, there was a large sum of money in it together with a mobile phone. I wondered who had lost it and did not know what to do. Then I thought to myself, “We should not keep other people’s belongings which do not belong to us. The best thing to do is handing it to the police. But I will be late for school.” After a while’s difficult thinking, I went to the police station.
The police on duty received me. With his help, I got touch with the bag’s owner. He arrived at the police station without delay. The moment he saw his bag, he signed with relief. Deeply moved, he thanked me again and again. I replied with a big smile, “This is what I should do!”
At first, I thought my teacher would scold me. However, when she knew what had happened, she praised me in front of the class.
Guess what? Everything went well the rest of the day!
