A Morning Wish
The sun rises every morning. What can I wish for what a new day may bring to me?
Nothing will make the world or others poorer, and nothing should happen at the expense of men. But too often troubles are with me and I can’t easily get rid of them.
I wish a new day brought me a few friends who understand me, and we are together shoulder by shoulder. I also wish that this day brought me a task to do which has a real value.
I wish a new day brought me enough braveness to travel. I wish that this day brought me a sense of humor, as well as the power to laugh. With this, I could also bring happiness to other people.
And I can long for a few minutes’ quiet and silent thinking in the morning of this day.
