Step 1. Warming up
1. Greeting and review. Review the letters and words of the last lesson by using cards.
2. Sing the ABC song.
3. Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue of the last lesson.
Step 2. Introduce the new letters in the same way shown in the last teaching design, using pictures. Show the students how to write the letters
Step 3. Practice and production
1. Play the tape for the students to follow.
2. Practise in pairs. Encourage the students to ask for real things, like books, pens, marker, erasers etc.
3. Ask some pairs to act it out.
Step 4. L7 N3
Teach“May I borrow _____, please?”, working from old phrases to new ones and adding the replies“Sure! Here you are.” And“You’re welcome.” Use actions to make your meaning clear. Translate when necessary.

Let the students tell you some sentences that include“is”and“are”. Encourage them to sum up the usage of the two words. Then sum up.
2. Practice. Complete the conversation in L8 N2 to prastice using them. If time is enough, have a short test.

Tell the students to review all the texts in this unit. Try to use the expressions about greetings, introductions and giving thanks in their daily life.
