Attach Importance to the Process
This week, our grade held girls' volleyball matches. In the hope of getting good marks, we devoted all our spare time to practise it, while we knew that our power was not very strong. But we all determined to over come the hardship.
We had already beaten down the team of Class 5 on Wednesday. On Friday, we faced Class 10, who was superior to us. Although we had tried our best, we failed in the end. We all felt very embarrassed, and couldn't say a word. As a matter of fact, they were stronger than we, so we had nothing to complain. Just at that time, our team head Shengling said to us, with a smile on her face, "I think we shouldn't feel unhappy, we shouldn't only attach importance to the result, the most important thing is the process. We failed, but we won the very valuable things. We had a good chance to practise ourselves and made great progress. We tried the best to overcome the hardship and spent the time together. The friendship among us became deeper. So we should feel happy." As we heard this, we all felt happy and smiled.
I was really moved by her words, even by her spirit. Right, we should attach importance to the process in our daily life.
My Brother
Today when I came home form school, I felt something unusual---my brother didn't say a word, and seemed to be very unhappy. He hit himself in the room sand shut the door. I thought that something must have happened to him, so I decided to ask him.
"What's the matter, Hait " I asked, with a mile on my face, "Tell me. Maybe I could help you." "One thing is still puzzling me." he said, "I have tried my best, but still failed in the last exam. I don't know why. Maybe I'm not clever, and I don't have a good memory." "No, you're wrong. You must trust yourself." I said, "If you could continue working hard, and improve your method, you'll make great progress. To make up your ideal, study hard with your heart and you'll achieve anything you want and get success in the end. You failed this time, but you couldn't see it as a big problem, because it's nothing more than a taste of failure. 'Success came after many failures.' Trust me." He smiled and said, "Thank you very much, sister. It is very nice of you. I feel much better now. What you said just now greatly encourage me. Not only do I trust you, but I also trust myself."
I felt very happy. I helped my brother, and he trusted me. The most important thing is that he shared his innermost feelings with me.
