Say Something on Thanksgiving Day

I am a little girl in a big world, just like a seed, growing up in a proper environment with plenty of sunshine, water, fertile soil, and I grow into a strong seedling.
Thanksgiving Day is approaching. It is a traditional festival in America; we need it in China, though. Many people say that children who were born after 1980 lack a grateful heart, but I don’t think so. We have it indeed; however, we do not show it obviously. For me, born in 1990, I just want to express my thanks to those who have played important roles in my life.
The fertile soil in my life is my parents. They give me the most valuable thing -- life, and supply me with everything they could offer. Parents are the most unselfish in the world for their children. They build up a warm happy place for me, which is called home. I have ever heard a word “My only hope is that when I come back home, there is always a shining lamp which just waits for me to go back.” This moved me deeply. I do believe that mother and father are the only people who will turn on the lamp and wait for me to come back home till deep night .Though I can not be accompanied by them a whole life, their spirits will be together with me forever. Learn to be a grateful person; just learn to be grateful to our parents first.
When a seed grows, it needs warm sunshine .Then the teachers come up .They just act like the sun, which guides us in the right direction. They give us much knowledge and teach us to swim in the sea of wisdom .Life is short, but study knows no ending.
Last but not the least, friends are also very important in my life .They are like a light wind passing by. When I am sad, they come to comfort me and take the sadness away. When I am happy, they come to celebrate with me and share my happiness. When I achieve some progress, they will always say ‘Congratulations!’ When I have some failures, they will never laugh at me, but give me strength. In a word, wherever I go, whatever I do, they will always stand behind me and do me a favor.
I think I am a lucky girl because I have owned all of them. Although both my parents are peasants, and are not so rich, they give me a warm family and a happy childhood .Though my teachers are not celebrities, they have taught me a lot. Maybe my friends are not really something, yet they have influenced me more than those so-called great philosophers.
I want to give my best wishes to all of the people who own a grateful heart and say: “Happy Thanksgiving Day!” Sometimes, it is difficult to express heartfelt feelings directly. I just want to say “Thank you!”
