Unit 4 A school outing(A)
Teaching Objectives:
1, Students learn some new words and sentences

3, Let students know how to prepare for a school outing and have fun

Whose cameras are these? They are our cameras.

Teaching methods:
free talk, questions and answers, presentation, activity participation, role play, pair work, group work, pre-reading, etc. according to contents and requirements of students.

Unit 4 A school outing(A)
Warm up:
1, Greetings
2,Sing a song
3, Free talk
T: What day is it today? What's the date today?
Ss answer then I write the answers on the blackboard corner.
T: Today is Friday. Tomorrow is Saturday. Then what are you going to do tomorrow?
Invite some students to answer one by one.
T: Do you know what Miss Huo is going to do?
Ss guess.
T: I am going on a school outing tomorrow.
Explain what is school outing and write this title on the board, then let students read after me.
T: I am going on a school outing by myself. Let's go together, ok?
Ss will answer "ok", because they know it will be a fun journey though we are just imagining of it.

Presentation:
1, T: Where do you want to go then?
Call some students to answer.
T:There are many good places nearby. While I have four choices for you. Then show the pictures first and then let them say out what they are. They are Happy Valley, the Window of the World, Shenzhen Zoo and Xiaomeisha Beach.
2, We will choose the place most people are going to go at last.
3, T: What are you going to bring then?
Invite students to answer.
4, T: What is Miss Huo going to bring?
Ss answer.
5, Show the screen with items I will bring.
6, Read the words together and teach the words they don't know.
They are money, mobile phone, camera, lunchbox, and a rubbish bag.
Tell them we should throw the rubbish into the rubbish bag to keep the bus and place clean.
7, Tell them Tim is going on a school outing.Listen to CD and tell Miss Huo where Tim is going and what he is going to bring?
8,Listen and answer the questions.

Practise:
1, Read part A after CD.
2, Read part A after me.
3, Role play: Plan an outing and tell us where you are going to go and what you are going to bring, then check whether you are prepared well for your outing.
Homework:
1, Listen and read part A
2, Copy each new words three times
Postscript:

Pay attention to the spelling of some words, such as, camera, sunglasses, game, etc.

Warm up:
1, Greetings
2,Review the words we've learned last class by looking at word cards
3, Read together
4, T will call students to read one by one, and give the word cards to students who can read well, then let them write their names on it with a pencil
Presentation:
1,I will pick up any word card from certain student's desk and ask them:
T: What's this?
Ss: It is a camera.
T: Whose camera is this?
Ss: It's Wen Yingxin's camera.
Then I will lead students to say the new way of expressing it.
T: It's her camera.
2, I will pick up another card to ask any student.
Then teach some other words in similar way,like his、our、 your、 their.
3, T: Miss Chen is asking about the things on the raincoat, too. Now let's listen to CD and see whose game is that?
4, Listen and answer the question.
5, Listen again and answer whose map is that?
6, Read after CD.
7, Read after me.
Practise:
1, Look at the pictures and sentences, then fill the blanks with the given words.
2, Ss take out their belongings and guess whose those stuffs are.(Ss can stand up and talk with any classmate)

Postscript:
Ss are extremely interested in talking about this topic, while it is a little hard for them to use the words in this part in their daily lives.

Warm up:

T: What's this? It's.... Whose ..is this? It's....
What are these? Ss: They are ..... Whose ...are these? They are...
(Take some stuffs for example)
Presentation:
1,I will go on the free talk, then ask students:
T: Is this your pencil?
S1: Yes, it is. / No, it isn't.
T: Whose pencil is this?
S1: It is her/ his pencil.
2,T: Are these your maps?
S2: Yes, they are. /No, they aren't.
T: Whose maps are these?
S2: They are his/ her/our/ their/your maps.
Write the new sentences on the board, and teach them to read.

3, Show some beautiful pictures to students and ask them where they are,
Presentation:
1, Show the picture of Dameisha Beach and ask them what we can do on the beach
Ss guess, and someone who has already previewed part C can say out : We can make a sandcastle.
Then teach this phrase:make a sandcastle
(There is no new knowledge point in this part.So we can listen to the story directly to have some basic understanding of it.)
2,Listen to the story and see how many people are there and have a thorough understanding of this story.
3,Listen to CD and answer the questions.
4, Listen again and try to answer the questions from Part D.

Ss have a very good understanding of this unit and they like this kind of exercise which is about reading the pictures and expalin them in English.It is a good start. I should use more pictures in my future teaching, which is a good teaching method and also can attract students' interest.
