外研版九年级上册《Module6 Unit2》How to be green?
学生分析:经过初一初二的努力学习,学生已积累了一定的英语语言基础知识,已基本具备用英语进行独立思维和交际的能力。但由于种种原因,每个学生的基础程度不一。而初三这一奋斗之年,学生的课业负担重,又面临升学的挑战,身心都疲惫不堪。因此提高课堂效率,切实做到减负是必不可少的。本课时作为阅读课,让学生学到语言知识的同时,重点培养学生的英语阅读技巧和习惯,以便帮助他们将此技能迁移到课外的泛读过程中,提高学生的阅读速度和阅读效率。
教材分析:本节课的阅读训练是承接上节课关于环保话题,而本节课是上节课的延续和深化,同时还是为语法学习提供巩固复习的一个平台。本节课侧重点的是训练阅读技能,文章以一个学生的口吻讨论作为中学生怎样才能为保护环境、节约能源做贡献,内容贴近学生生活实际,语法重点主要为构词法。培养学生能读懂关于环保的文章,能学会利用构词法理解一些生词的意思,这些也是学生构成完整的英语技能所不可缺少的。
设计理念:以学生听、说、读、写、练贯穿整课,重点突出“读”。 通过各种教学活动指导学生阅读的策略与技巧,如:skimming, scanning, inferring,understanding the main idea等。同时采用视听法,问答法和情景交际法,并把竞争机制引入课堂,努力倡导学生积极参与。根据学生不同的基础和学习情况设计不同难度的教学任务,这样既能面向全体学生、以学生作为主体,又尊重了学生的个体差异,能最大地满足不同程度学生的学习需要。倡导自主、合作、探究的学习方式,设计的阅读任务由浅入深,由易到难,循序渐进,让学生在学习过程中不仅能提高阅读能力,而且通过感知、体验、实践、参与等方式完成阅读任务和实现目标。
基本操作:
Step 1 Warming up
The teacher shows the riddle to students to guess. The students try to guess the riddle. 通过课前猜谜游戏激发学生学习的兴趣与热情。
Step2 Lead-in
The teacher helps the students describe the pictures and say out the solutions to the problems.
The students enjoy the song and the pictures. They should try to talk about what environmental problems the earth faces now and how to deal with these problems.
1、播放歌曲《同在蓝天下》的同时展示环境破坏的图片,激发学生对环保话题的思考。
2、引导学生根据图片,发现身边环境问题,激发思考,为阅读做铺垫,使阅读更有效。
Step 3 Fast reading
1.Show the main ideas of each paragraph to students, ask them to match the ideas with the paragraphs.
2. The teacher shows the way to do the exercise.
The students share their answers with the whole class.
让学生迅速找到各段的中心词和中心句。此活动在于培养快速阅读的能力, 有助于学生在最短的时间内找出文章的Main idea.。从而更好地掌握各段的中心思想。
Step4 Careful reading
1. The teacher shows the sentences to the students and ask them to check whether the sentences are true or not.
2. The teacher shows the way to do details reading in English.
The students scan the passage, try to find out the sentences and try to check whether they are true or not. They can discuss with their partners.
学生通过寻读,查找文中的细节,判断对错。
Step 5 Further reading
1. Get the students to read the passage more carefully and finish multiple-choice questions
2.Show the questions to the students.
Students try to read the passage in a careful way to find out the answers to the questions individually.
本环节通过让学生仔细研读文章,完成深层理解题,更好地把握文章的内容。
Step 6 Reading aloud
The teacher plays the tape for students to listen and guide them to read the passage loudly.
The students try to read after the tape and have a competition for reading aloud.
经过默读课文,学生对课文有了一定的理解,通过大声朗读,可以帮助学生加强重点单词、短语的记忆。
Step 7 Show time
1. The teacher guides the students to talk about the VCR.
2. Write down the key phrase the students say on the blackboard.
The students watch the VCR and discuss in groups. Try to talk about the play in their own language and try to give advice.
通过观看自制VCR,小组讨论从影片中看到了哪些不利于环保的现象?同时给出建议。
这个主要是刺激学生说的欲望。主题还是围绕课文的中心词:reduce; reuse ;recycle
Step 8 Writing
The teacher asks the students to write at least five sentences to give advice on how to protect the environment.
The students can discuss in groups and ask one of them to write down their sentences on the blackboard.
Each group finish more than three sentences related to reduce, reuse and recycle.
通过写的任务帮助学生达成语言的输出,更好地帮助学生巩固相关词汇和句型。
引导学生写出自己认为最有效的或自己力所能及的环保建议。
Step 9 Relaxing
The teacher says sth about the pictures and guides the students to cherish the beautiful world the earth gives us.
The students enjoy the pictures and the song. Try to think what they can do for environmental protection.
通过让学生欣赏漂亮的风景图,感受地球的美丽。引导学生珍惜现有的美丽环境,从现在开始,付诸于行动加入环保的行列。
Step 10 Homework
Assign homework:
1. Write a composition on how to save our world.
2. Make a poster to ask people to care about the environment
The students finish the homework after class.
课后作业是对课文的巩固和延伸。在帮助学生完成说词、写句的任务后,通过课后写作文,更好地帮助学生提高书面表达能力。其次,通过海报设计呼吁人们关爱环境,可以培养学生的创新能力。
