Step 1. Sing an English song
Organize the students to sing an English song: “Happy Birthday to you!”
Step 2. Listening and vocabulary
Play the video. Number the words and expressions. Then the students say the order of the words. After listening, match the words with the right pictures. Teacher reads the words, the students repeat. Let the students read the words by themselves. Then check them. Listen and number the words and expressions as you hear them.

Step 3. Free talk
This activity gives the students practice of oral English. Have the students talk about the traditional life in China and other countries. Step 1. Vocabulary
Have students look at the pictures. Students may say “Having dinner”, look at the second picture, teaching wedding. After that let the students think about the traditional life, such as greeting people, having a tea party, making noise, wedding and so on. You can divide the students into groups, let them talk about together. While they are talking, help them if necessary. After they finish talking, check their answers.

Show the flashcards. This activity gives the students a chance to practice oral English. Talk about the differences of traditional life in China and England. Let the students talk as widely as they can.
