[教学重难点分析]
教会学生写英文日记是本课的重点,老师要让学生明白写日记的格式及所用的语态,并指出日记中常用动词的过去式。动词的过去式是本课的难点,教师可以有规律地呈现这些动词的过去式,帮助学生记忆。
[课前准备]
1、教师准备
(1)几本漂亮的日记本。
(2)几篇日记。
(3)课文磁带。

预习课文。
[教学步骤和建议]
一、热身
1. Greetings.
Hi/ Hello/ Good morning. How are you today? What day is it today? What’s the weather like today? (介绍各种天气现象sunny, windy, cloudy, rainy, snowy, foggy…为写日记做好铺垫)
2、师生、学生之间互相回答What did you do last night? Did you…?
二、新课教学
1、出示一些漂亮的日记本,激发学生写日记的兴趣。
2、出示几篇已经完成的日记,介绍写英文日记的格式(基本与写中文日记相同)。
3、教师出示一张较大的写好日记的纸贴在黑板上,作为日记本的范本。
4、出示几篇已经完成的日记,让学生观察后总结写日记的格式:日期要先写月份,再写日期(如6月8日应写成:Jun. 8th;11月13日应写成Nov. 13th等)。在日期同一行的后面一些位置定上当天的天气状况,如sunny, rainy, snowy等。介绍因为是回忆一天的内容,写日记常用的时态为一般用过去时。
5、复习学过的动词过去式:am— was, have— had, go— went…
6、介绍文中出现的三个不规则动词的过去式并给出例句。
are — were
eg:We’re happy today.
The children were happy on children’s Day.
give — gave
eg:Give me the book, please.
Mr Black gave his son a new watch on his birthday.
don't — didn’t
eg:I don’t know.
I didn’t know his name.
7、听课文录音,回答下列问题:
What did they do today? With whom?
Who won the race?
Were they happy today?
8、用形象的动作教授新单词tired, thirsty。区别excited与exciting的用法,eg:Go hiking is a very exciting thing.
I was very excited yesterday.
9、听录音,跟读课文
三、巩固和延伸
1、模仿课文,学生改编内容,口述事件。
2、学生自己尝试写一篇日记:Children’s Day.
3、完成活动用书中的练习。

1、学生准备一本日记本,尝试每天写英语日记。
2、听录音跟读课文内容。
