教学目标和要求:  

 

1.    巩固句型 “What are you going to do?”及其答句。  

2.    读懂Read and think,并能正确回答短文后的问题。  

 

教学重点和难点:  

 

1.    重点:进一步巩固本课四会句型“What are you going to do?”及其答句。  

2.    难点:引导学生学习Read and think,培养学生的阅读理解能力,增加课外知识,培养学习英语兴趣。  

 

课前准备:  

 

1.         训练句型的卡片。  

2.         单词卡片。  

3.         对话中提及的各种品牌的汽车图片。  

4.         录音机及相关的课文磁带。  

 

教学步骤:  

 

Step 1 Revision  

 

1.    T: 请同学们回想上节课我们学的句型。  

S: What are you going to do?  

    I am / We are going to …  

T: You are right. Now look at my cards and answer my question using the pattern “What are you going to do?  I am / We are going to …” Are you ready?  

Ss: Yes.  

2.  T:  What are you going to do?  

S:  I am going to …  

   卡片内容:listen to music   read a book   watch an NBA game     

                      stay at home   pick up corn   stay in bed  

                      cook fish   play with them   write a letter  

                      watch cartoons   plant trees   climb a hill  

                      kick a shuttlecock   play hide-and-seek     

                      do morning exercises   do handstands  

                      write a report   read a newspaper   play chess  

                      play the piano    make cookies    weigh the stone  

 

Step 2 Read and think  

 

1.    T: First let’s play a “new words” game. I have six English words and     six Chinese words. Who can come to the front to match the

         English words with the Chinese words?  

1)      next   下一个的,随后的  

2)      at last   最后,终于  

3)      give up   放弃,认输  

4)      rock   石头  

5)      scissors   剪刀  

6)      win   赢,获胜  

2.    T: Look at the new words and read after me.   

Then ask the students to practice reading the new words in several ways.  

3.    T: Now let’s listen to a dialogue between Linda and David. They are talking about what they are going to do next week. Let’s listen and answer this question “ What are Lucy’s family going to do next week?”  

4.    Play the tape once for the students to find the answer “ They are going to buy a new car next week.”  

T: I have three cars. (出示课前准备好的三种品牌汽车图片)What car are they? Do you know?   

  S: (学生们各抒己见)They are Benz, Volvo and Toyota.  

  教授学生三种品牌汽车的读音。  

5.    T: Then open your book. Read the dialogue by yourself. And          answer this question “ What car are they going to buy?”  

S: (several minutes later)   Toyota  .  

6.    This time listen and repeat. Then ask the students to read in several ways.  

7.    T: Now let’s look at the language points in this part.  

1)      buy a new car   buy sth for sb=buy sb sth  

2)      next week   next Friday  

3)      give-gave  

4)      How about…? = What about…?  

5)      play-played   play the game “Rock, paper, scissors”  

play computer games  

play basketball  

play the piano  

6)      scissors (pl.)

8.    T: Now work in pairs. One is Linda and the other is David. And I will  give you five minutes to practice the dialogue. Then we will invite some of you to act for us. Are you ready?  

9.    (five minutes later) Ask the students to act.  

   

10. Homework: 请同学们课后查找有关汽车的信息。
